so i am officially done with Mile's Nissan and their dumb a$$ body shop. They have had my car for 3 weeks to paint a rear bumper, didn't paint it the right color (again!!) even after T told them to have their paint company come match the paint again like the last time the f'd up, and they charged me for 2 splash guards while only putting one on and keeping the other!

so, i need a good dealer and a good shop around decatur/champaign area.

take it from me....DON'T GO TO MILES!

EDIT: Just an update....it is now 5!!!! weeks for a rear bumper with no custom work and factor splash guards!!!


EDIT...AGAIN: sweeeeeet....coming to the end of week 6!! great......

 

wow i am glad i read this post...I got rear ended a month or so ago and got a quote from Miles to get the rear bumper fixed and was about to have them repair it. Do you know of anywhere else in the area yet that is good? I had amazing experience with O'Brien in C-U but i do not know if they have a bodyshop...

 

is that the shop by the movie theater? yeah..they rock and they have no body shop. did you roll next to a LSS Z about a month ago out by brush college road? if that was you, nice ride and what have you done with it! bastard was fast!

 

to answer your question...i have no idea where to go for a body shop! don't do ming's....they are horrible! i can tell you, if you ever need brake, wheel, suspension work...go to marty's. still trying to find a good body shop. miles knows what they are doing but you have to be on their a$$ all the time! YOU have to call to check in on your car, YOU have to look your car over like crazy when you pick it up to make sure the paint matches, YOU have to look through your bill for mistakes and mystery charges, and YOU are the biggest dumb a$$ that walks through the door to them.

i would as the deal in C-U who the would use/had luck with. i don't know any in dtown

 

haha yeah i remember that! I was hoping you were going on the same on-ramp as I. The car is actually stock motor-wise - i have koni adjustables, and different wheels for the street and race tires on my stock rays.

I have heard good and bad about Ming's also... maybe i will just do it up here (at Purdue). Hey if you are in the area, come to the autocross test and tune in Rantoul this saturday!

 

aren't you in the dtown z club? i have seen your car before when hetal was here. i know hauln59(can't remember his name) was running the club but i didn't hear anything all summer. kind of a good thing because i am buying a house and need to save money...i spent it like crazy when hetal was around.

would love to do the autocross but i there is a band out on a boat at clinton lake...so i will be un-driveable!

let me know if any of those guys still get together or not...felt like doing a ride/road trip this summer but no one was doing anything. let me know if there are more autocross things going on later this summer/fall.
