Im back in the States for good and am looking to join or put together a Nissan/350Z club for Iowa. Anyone interested?

I know one member here, he goes by Nietzche. Im sure we have a few more here. Maybe we can all drive down to ZDAYZ together. Where's all my Iowa peeps?

I've lived it my whole life, although they do better in Chicago at quick cleanup. You still running summer tires, my "all seasons" suck in this stuff.

 

Yeup.. driving the winter beater right now. The Z is in storage for the time being. Right now Im just collecting car parts so I can keep up with your Maxima. =)

 

You may be on to something there. I'm with the Heart of America Z Car Club- www.hazcc.com -based in Kansas City and we have had a few-1 or 2- members from Iowa with Z32's.I'm not sure if they are still members or not.
I just got off the phone with the president of the Omaha club-Z Cars of Nebraska www.zcarsofnebraska.com -and he says he has members from Des Moines and Ames but none with 350's.
Neither of us know of any clubs in Iowa.
Feel free to PM me if you want ideas how to seek out members.

Thanks. I'll hit you up. I'd be more than glad to coordinate a Nissan car club for any model. I know there are a few Z owners on this board from Iowa City, and I know of at least two Z owners here in Cedar Rapids. Hmm, maybe the next time I see em parked I'll leave a card on their windows mentioning the car club.

Oh, and its good to be home ya'll.. now I just gotta find a job.

Awesome. I've seriously been courting the idea of starting an Iowa Z club, or even just a Nissan club. Now that the good weather is "FINALLY" rolling around, Id think it's more plausible.

 

You live around Iowa City right? My little brother goes to Iowa. I am actually going to be in Cedar Rapids next weekend for the Iowa Academy of Science convention at Kirkwood. Unfortunately I won't have my Z.
I have only met one other Z owner in the last month and he was a younger kid, he wasn't exactly the nicest person either.

 

Lemme guess, grey stock looking Z with a V3 Veilside wing? Or was it a stock Black one? I've seen both those guys, and neither one struck me as Z car enthusiasts.

Im in cedar rapids actually. But its only a 12 minute ride (in the z of course) down to Iowa City.

 

Close he had a stock 04 black 350z with a billet grill and some ok looking rims. I work at the local mall here and I left my business card in his window with a note so that I could talk to the owner. He stopped into the store I work at like an hour later and we talked for like 2 minutes. He wasn't even going to stop by and say hi, but his gf made him. lol. He just purchased his car like one day before I bought my 08. He was replacing his 03 z he totaled this winter. He left before I could mention ever cruising or hanging out sometime. I am glad that I didn't know though. lol.

Yeah, I've seen that one. I just dont like those Billet grills. I wish I had my Z the day he rolled up behind me.

Theres another one that parks out in Lindale Mall quite often, and a grey one that I described above that looks stock except for the Veilside V3 spoiler. Which looks completely lame without the rest of the kit.

 

I am not familiar with the Iowa City or Cedar Rapids area at all. Where did you see that car? Were you in the Sioux City area? Or was the car originally from your part of the state?

 

I saw one with the billet grill in Iowa City, perhaps 2 weeks ago. :shrug: Young guy, early 20s, slightly heavy build?

Coralville Iowa Z owner here just got the car a lttle over a week ago loving it so far. Went from a 2002 Acura RSX Type S to a 2003 Lemans Sunset 350z enthusiast.

 

Awesome. I wish my front wasnt all dinged up. Im almost ashamed to show it. If you see one around with a carbon fiber hood, thats me.
