Yeah, once demo and remodel is done, think I will have to throw some get together or something!?

As I have always said related to hp, if you want a quicker car, get a lighter gf hahahhaha. Or, ya gotta lose it yourself! Yes reliability is cut down with FI, but after riding in Aaron's car I cannot say I disagree with the bs issues that arise from it.

Remind your buddy its a great idea to buy an awd, or multipurpose car in the north and drop it.....if he beefs up the suspension and drivetrain he could maybe pull some big $ if he threw a plow on it too.

Just lowered the WRX. Ugh... I hate playing with springs. All went well, though, and I even got an old Blitz boost gauge I grabbed out of a car at the junkyard for $10.

Tomorrow's mission... oil change.

My wrists got so cut up today working on the car... I look like I'm emo.

It feels great to get back into wrenching on cars.

You have no idea.

Right now, I'm just looking for WRX parts, but I do keep an eye out for Nissan stuff. Not many 350Z's on island here, so none in the junkyards. There's only a couple 370s I've seen. There is, however, a handful of 300ZXs in the junkyards around here.

Something that is surprisingly common... is 2JZ-GTE motors around here.

I'm always looking for stuff in case you or someone here wants something for their Z. Hell, if anyone needs parts for an SR20, 240SX, or RB25/26... this place is riddled with stuff.

Side note... I did find a set of 18" LMGT4 bronze wheels for $1200. Thinking about picking them up for the GTR and swapping them out with the 19" Varrs on it right now. Maybe even locate some 17's. The car's just not made for 19's.

I wonder how much a RB25/26 engine would be to ship here. I've seen it before, but I don't remember the costs.

Switch out the wheels, man. Dooooo eeeeeett!

RB25 ~ 2500-4000.
RB26 ~ 4000-7500.

All depending on mileage, condition, and modifications.

You can find both of those here for that cheap if not cheaper. A friend of mine bought an rb25 with tranny and main harness for 2200.

This weekend blows....

we got snow and my evo is up on stands in my garage... not my shop, my damn garage. so my wife's and my other car have to park in the driveway.... cost me 70 bucks to ship the broken parts off and I am sure they can't be repaired for cheap so I am expecting I'll be out a grand on that.

I spent all day friday doing tax stuff, still not done.....

I have my inlaws all coming over today for my sister-in-law's b-day so the tax stuff won't get done till tomorrow.

Been really watching my diet...down 25+ lbs.... but been wanting to seriously eat the last two days... must be stress

Farm season is getting close. spent 2 hrs rewiring a trailer yesterday so I can drive down to iowa on tuesday to get a new implement for the farm

and

my beater car needed new plugs, wires, valve cover gasket and a new washer fluid pump so I to got spend a couple hrs doing that as well.

Finally to top it off... got my semi-annual notice that my health insurance premiums are going up another 8%. that makes it a total 42% in the last 3 yrs. Do I thank Obama for that?
