Damn, Aaron. I'm glad to read that your diet is working, but the car issues and the taxes suck.
You can thank the greedy CEO's for your insurance increase. Did you know the top 2 health insurance companies post profits every quarter? One of them is HQ'd in MN. How's that for sticking it to you w/o any lube?
Someone from the ZOOM club thinks I should get rid of the 260 and try again.

I need a new front bumper emblem. Anyone have a spare? I don't want the Nissan hamburger. I want the Z emblem like I had before Midwest Z Fest (where I lost it on the track). Otherwise, I'll be ordering from Courtesy parts. Maybe I should get a Tommy Kaira emblem? lol

I also have BCBS. They used to be better in the 90s and for Brandon's birth. Now they suck just like everyone else.
The 260 is a lot of work. I keep thinking about it and what to do with it as far as continuing the project. I think if I can fix the doors and windows, put in diamond plate (?) floor panels, and start stripping the paint off, then I'd be good as far as feeling productive. But I foresee a lot of manual labor, which I expected.
Did I say all my returns went to paying off debt?

I know Greg. I'm just thinking of everything that needs to be done and how much it's going to cost. I already know that if I stick with it and do a lot of it myself, it's going to take a few summers unless I win the lottery or something.
That's why they call it a project car lol
Car projects aren't meant to be a quick thing. It'll last some time... enjoy it. Once you're done with the 260, you'll be so bored because your project is finished.

my sunday turned around for me. the inlaws were here, which I thought would be a stresser, but it wasn't bad. I spent a couple hours with my 'hacker' brother-in-law updating my nexus one to the new gingerbread android update.... proved challenging due to it being rooted. Actually had fun with it.
Just got my cardio in, so feeling good about that.....
Yeah dave, that car does need a lot of work. Lol which is why I didnt want much for it. But honestly its not too bad. Dont imagine it as going to be a super car. I would honestly put all the manual labor and time into it and it wont take a ton of money. Redo the floors, put a new tank, exhaust and repaint. That engine actually runs well. Get it tuned up and make it look good and just take the car for sunday cruises. You have a clean 350 to track and play with. Use the datsun to cruise around town in a sweet old car. Thats my 2 cents.
