I am spending some time in kona hawaii. just thought I would share some of the rides I have been seeing around.... obviously they like their lifted trucks.
seen only a couple evos, two STI's (one 2012), and did see a ZR1 vette late one night, but no pics of it:

enjoy

first pic is the view from the house

Damn, Greg. Your answers are super thorough. Very nicee...

So basically, what you guys are telling me is to forget about it. I got CenterPoint coming in the morning to take out the old, install the new, and bill me. w00t!

Nice pics, Aaron. Enjoy! Thanks for sharing. It's been a long time since I've been there.

Damn you Aaron, I'm also in need of a vacation but sadly enough if MN can stay this temp all winter I think I could put up not going anywhere. But yea still wish I was where you are right now. So what do you like about Kona? (what made you go to that island vs the others)

Alright guys its official. I am moving up there first week of jan. Im excited but leaving friends n family behind really sucks. I need a temp place to live so I've been hitting up craigslist. My fiancee is moving up in march. Really hope to get involved with the scene. Wanna auto cross too. Couple questions

1) are their vehicle inspections with emissions?
2) front licence plate necessary?
3) do you have a chipotle?

Thanks guys!

1) are their vehicle inspections with emissions? No emissions here in MN
2) front licence plate necessary? Yes sadly, there are a few areas in the Minneapolis area where the cops are **** about it. But I still don't rock one unless I'm going on long trips. So far I've only gotten one ticket ($110) but my Z is just my weekend warrior
3) do you have a chipotle? Yep

Thanks guys!

the biggest reason is my dad has a house in kona... 16 days of free logging and vehicle use is a big plus.

I have been to Honolulu and my wife has been to Maui, both are nice as well. I like the big island as it still has touristy stuff, but still very laid back. You can go to the beach everyday, you can go to the tourist shops, and still shop at target if need be. there is a gym 3 miles from the house, so I can workout... just a nice mix of things here. also, less hustle and bustle than Honolulu... and considering we brought my 5 yr old, that is nice

If you come to hawaii, definitely go to oahu (honolulu) and experience pearl harbor, waikiki beach, north shore, market square... very tourist type stuff. It is fun. Heck, check out all the islands

lol, got my CF NRG quick disconnect and short hub in today. That's all I'm expecting so far this winter for the Z other than some more tools I'll more than likely pick up. For example bought a T30 tamper proof hex to remove the steering wheel.

Anybody else have Wed. off??? Going to be a long boring day. Will probably start wrapping gifts.

Pars new job sucks.... He's never on here anymore

so i'm moving from dallas towards the middle of January. I am getting married in Dallas in mid-march, so i'm ideally looking for a place from beg to mid-Jan, and through march 31st, at which point me and my fiancee will get our own place.

I dont really need anything, just a room, furniture isnt necessary, but a bed would help, but not necessary, and a bathroom, but no slums. If you guys know anything, I would appreciate it. I wanna stay near the city, so not too far in the suburbs... my budget for the room and stuff is around 500-600. I would need internet of course.

What's the sales tax there and what's the state income tax?

Sales tax depends on the city, but it's usually no more than 7.25% I think. Income tax is high.

For single taxpayers:
-- 5.35 percent on the first $22,770 of taxable income.
-- 7.05 percent on taxable income between $23,771 and $74,780.
-- 7.85 percent on taxable income of $74,781 and above.

For married couples filing jointly:
-- 5.35 percent on the first $33,280 of taxable income.
-- 7.05 percent on taxable income between $33,281 and $132,220.
-- 7.85 percent on taxable income of $132,221 and above.

If I knew you better, I'd offer up our basement. My wife and me have a 4 bedroom house...plenty of room for a guest. We have people crash over all the time after bars and parties here.

Why do you have so many posts over here on the z thread and you have a G? There's really no "chat" activity over on the 35 forum because I recruited all the 35's over to the 37 thread so we could all communicate easier.

http://www.myg37.com/forums/mn-g-crew-392/

Get in the scene? Believe me, you'll be welcomed with open arms!

Appreciate it. I posted an lot on the z forum cause a lot of the g owners were worried about shiny engine bays and fancy wheels and I was trying to get into auto cross and performance which a lot more z guys in Dfw did...

If you decide tto take a chance and rent a room let me know asap. Can give you any info you need, references etc. Im 28 and will be working as an account developer so I may be travelling a bit. It would only be until last week of march. Im clean can help with stuff and am very respectful. I do like to go out but moderately. I am pretty social and a smart *** but like i ssaid, respectful and non intrusive.
