if you are used to driving a turbo, it will be a change to say the least. It will feel slow to you, regardless of how fast it is. also the drive by wire gives the car a different feel. You really need to get on it for it to respond. I don't want to turn you off to the Z, they are great cars and a lot of fun, but they are not practical nor will they give you the rush you get from a turbo setup.
as far as this site/community goes, it is the best around. You can find anything here. I have had other cars, and currently own an evo. the evo sites in comparison are horrible. this site you could find info I would only dream about finding for my evo on evom.

Welcome back, Erik. I know what you mean about online bromances with Z peeps. lol
To the new guy, definitely try and have a decent garage to keep the Z if you're going to be driving it all the time. Hopefully, this winter will be mild again.

Hey mdost, I got my beater Saturn for 275$. Best car ive bought next to my z. And i dont like using my girl as my shovel. Store it be honest no salt no corrosion and its safe during the most dangerous time of the year. Im 20 and i see a guy with a base z on blizzaks and I still think he's an idiot. Have fun when that suburban with bald tires comes barreling in to you at 45+ lol...you know how bad of drivers can exist I almost died today alone in traffic. I WANT MY DAMN Z BACK. NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!
if you are 25, don't even worry about it. kind of surprised you would pay 70/month for a your current car though....

Yeah, my cousin owns an EVO built by DB Performance, but usually just keeps his forum use to local people with evomn. One of those cars are definitely on my list as well to check on, but to find one non-molested and needing something fixed or higher miles is kind of tough for a good price.
to put it into more perspective, what you find on evomn is basically all found here in this local chat thread for the Z's.

Miserable rain...
Saw a bunch of cars lined up together, cruising around Apple Valley. Looked like they were headed to the fairgrounds.
Also saw a silver 350Z on Cedar Ave yesterday morning. Looked stock.

If nissan engineers put enough thought into the next Z like they did making the GTR we could be in a for a huge overhaul and be far ahead from next competition. When the GTR came out it stood out from everybody, a beast of a super car in a relatively cheap price. Obviously they're not going to make a Z that has the same amount of HP as the GTR does, but I wouldn't mind if they had a NA model (for fuel efficiency) and for a upgrade a TT model, maybe making it a limited production model like they do with the nismos. They could make the NA model a V6 hybrid of sorts that still puts out 300hp and keeping the price in the 25-35k range but for the TT model I would like to see 400hp with a price tag around or under 50k.

^^ I think changing the platform entirely though to FWD, means it should be tagged with a different title..hell make it a different car entirely. The Z should stay true in its form or purists will fall away, of course the 370 already made me a bit distant too.

FWD would be beyond stupid to make the new Z platform and would kill almost all the buyers off. Just look at how poorly the Altima coupe has sold, you rarely see those things.
