I can't picture you wearing any tie except for that pink bowtie you keep in the closet.

Is polishing just like sanding? I never really understood how they do it like that...

Dude, that is unbelievably hard and time consuming, hence the expense of having it done. I want mine polished but am afraid to pay the $200-$300 for it. I think there's a member on here that does it locally or has a connection.

I've also heard that you can get it powdercoated to look polished. I have a thread on Tech that explains it.

I still go with my original idea of Powder Coating it in High Gloss Super Chrome finish. It gives the polished look without having to do all the work. I have spoken with a few powdercoaters and they tell me with two coats even my rough stock plenum will be smooth. It is much easier/faster to do the powdercoat. Plus with polished metal you have to seal it....cant just leave it in a raw polished state.
There's a thread about this with links.

Yep, we do meet. Welcome to the community. It's probably too late for a get together this month, but I'm thinking we should do something in January.

It's not the same w/o you, Steve.

BTW, my super was with me when you called yesterday. We were looking for a target, if you know what I mean.

I want to have an evening weekday meet or a weekend lunch meet in January. Keep your eyes open for that.

One of my bosses lives in Chaska. Any good restaurants out that way for a meet? Or we could centralize it for others.

basically ready for paint. Brother told me this weekend, but that was if he could get the chevelle done.... which was reliant on finding an enclosed trailer to haul it with.... which should happen this coming week..

Long story short, hoping to have it painted by xmas

I am redoing my masterbath this week, and my dad comes back into town on the 16th. We need to wrap up some business BS, so probably after new yrs will be the first time I have available - you off for J-term?
