Scored a good deal on a new 5.56 upper today, also found 4 more pmags and 300rds 9mm. Overall I'd say it was a successful day shopping, now I just need to pick up some .223 ammo and test her out at the range.

Thanks, did you detail the Z today? I was over at Wally world and almost did a drive by, didn't want to drop by unannounced so I just went home.

 

I was so damn tired from allergies and so busy doing other stuff that I didn't have a chance at the Z. I cleaned the interior and packed.

MIL came in to town today and is staying with us for a month.

Did just him and the wife go? Or did he meet up with any other caravans? That's a he// of a hike in a straight shot!!!

 

Just him, wife had to stay home and watch the kids. Yes it is, the year I went I went straight home and came through St. Louis and he spent the night and I kept on truckin 17 hrs later finally home... I'm sure Dave left early morning. Like 6-7am. It's kind of hard to make up time too, you google the location and say oh I can get there faster than that, but google doesnt factor in gas fill up stops. So by the time you gas up using the bathroom get something to eat, the actual time to get there is pretty accurate.

I know John went last year and he thought he could just speed his way down there, in fact he/I found out that the cruise control only works up to 99mph lol, but anyways it took him longer than he thought and ended up sleeping in his car to get some rest.

Also the Zdayz cruise is pretty tolling on the base Z owners as we are all owned by not having cruise control. Damn was my foot and ankle sore when I finally made it home.

 

BASE model FTW yo...we build em up, not expect Nagasaki to do it for us ...on that note driving it home from Los Angeles was terrible, 25+hrs

 

I bet, not much you can do on those long trips except take your shoes off and get comfortable. (It helps)

Well anyways, sorry fellas was looking at the calendar wrong. Sonic will not be this Friday (good thing supposed to rain) but next Friday. Like I said before will be every 2nd and 4th week of the month. Also I just found out that there is a car meet there every Wed at the same Sonic in Bloomington. So if you have the urge to mingle with some other imports or just want to get out head up there I guess they had a good turnout this last Wed.

 

So we may have some storms tomorrow and the next 5 days, at least it isn't snow. haha
