Well, boys. I can't take it anymore. I think I may start the Z up and sit in it for a while. I'd take her out and drive around the block, but I have furniture in the garage that's in the way.

What's up Minnesota peeps?
Some of you may know me (I know Dave does) from the good ol' days with MNSC where I spent more than a few years as a Mod and Admin for the site, mostly looking over the Motorsports section.

I poke my head in over here, as I'm about to be the proud new owner of an '08 Base model, with which I plan to build into a national caliber STU autocross car.
I've already started a blog about the build. for anyone curious, it's available at 350z.shane86.com

I'm flying out to Oklahoma Friday to take delivery and drive back, and I've already got a pile of parts in possession and more on the way..

Within a few weeks, she'll have a square 285 setup of fresh Dunlop Z2s.

It. Will. Stick.

So, I'll be hanging out around here a little more trying to soak up info like a sponge.

Awesome! Glad to see you're making your way over to the Z platform. I had a lot of fun autoxing the Z.

Can't wait to see your Z put together.

Greg and I were just talking about our first official Z meet when we can get all our cars out and together. I'm thinking the first weekend of June. Thoughts?

Yeah, but probably not until all the Z's are out.

I finally figured out how to pair the ELM327 OBDII to my phone. Now all I need is to test the Z out and get some base data.

Yup. Been following along with Brian Peter's Z build over here.. But I wanted to take a little different route and start with an HR. Here's hoping the gearing/power advanantage over the weight pays off in my favor

May 31/June 1 and June 7th all work.. June 8 is MOWOG 3 at DCTC so I'll be there.

When the choice comes between standing in a parking lot, and standing in a parking lot between bouts of hard driving, I know which one i take every time

Who's Brian Peter? Thread?

I think May 31st would be a good date to set for a huge Z meet. I want to break a record this year and see how many of us we can get together.

I could most likely make the 31st work. The weekend of 5/20 is proving grounds so I'll be up there.

Actually, Brian Peters'
I put the apostrophe in the wrong place. He took 1st place at nats this year in a 350z DE prepped for STR, then the car was re-classed to STU, so he's been upgrading his build to STU.

I doubt my car will be ready till probable mid June if I can get a friend to drive my car out of storage down to my builder when my engine from IPP comes in sometime in May. Looks like I will have to wait till the Sonic meets. I can't wait few more months and my 650 whp sexy lady will be done.
