Brandon's team won the 2nd game of the tourney today. We clinched second place for sure. Championship game is tomorrow. We beat Mankato that had 18 kids on the team. We only had 12 including the goalie.

Brandon got an assist. He sure is coming around. That's one goal and assist this season so far.

Drove through that storm from Red Wing. Wow! Took me about 1.5 hours to get from the rink to my house. Came home to over a foot of snow in my driveway and more blocking me out. LOL I got a pretty good workout last night and some more this morning. I'm really **** about cleaning the snow off my concrete. Well, most of the time.

We lost and got second place, BTW. Chaska plays dirty, and the refs were terrible as usual. I don't mind if they call it for both teams, but to be blatantly one-sided sucks for the kids. I could tell our boys were getting mad about it.

flooded my rink tonight. Went as well as I could have hoped. this is my 3rd yr doing it myself. My dad always did a rink for us when we were kids, so I had some experience.

Last year was a complete bust and had me pretty discouraged from going for it again. This year I got some high buck plastic and went for it. the fill went great, no trapped air, no issue with the wind, no issue with snow. I fill it with our irrigation well. I have 6" pipe filling it. the rink is 101' x 36.5' and filled with 8-9" of water. the ground varies a bit, so I have a few areas that might only have 3-5" of water.
