So.... I'm looking into renting a car trailer for the Porsche.
Any ideas? I'm hoping the Dodge Grand Caravan can haul a flat trailer.

Hey All - I'm new to the Z world having been in the Subaru universe prior. I just picked up my new (to me) '07 350Z Roadster a few weeks back and was hoping to connect with some other locals in the community. I've seen MNNI people around but the website seems fairly cryptic and I'm not quite sure how you join, so I was pleased to see a local thread going here. I don't have any crazy plans for the Z, but then again, isn't that how it always starts?
Anyway, looking forward to hopefully connecting with some of you and maybe get involved in some cruises or something.

Hey Painter - I'm located in Champlin up in the NW 'burbs. I'm working on planning out everything I'd like to do on my Z, nothing too extensive, just your standard exhaust & suspension work. While an enthusiast, I'm definitely not a master mechanic so hoping to learn a little bit from everyone on here and pick some brains. I'm hoping to stumble across any sort of cruises or meetups that may be taking place within the MN contingency.

Long time lurker.....
Hello Fellow Minnesotans,
Moved to Woodbury MN back in 2006 and own a 2003 350z (bought it in 2004) It has 90K miles on it and I just installed a Soho single turbo. One of those do it now or never do it all deals
I any event I'd like to connect with the z owners in MN over a range of topics: Vibration issues , Fighting Rust, Chasing down interior rattles, FI, Garages that know these cars etc.
Thanks,
Rich

Fellas,
My mistake, I didn't realize I was already a member back from 2012. Please ignore the VG30E post and I will resume activity under this account.
Thanks,
Rich

Alive and kicking over here, but just figured everyone was done with the forum. Since I'm not on FB, I can't seem to get a way in on MNNI either
Anyway, still a Z owner here and would like to link up with some others.

I've been fairly quite but definitely interested in meeting up and trading notes.
silverbullet, i didn't realize you had your car dynoed at DB performance. I was there this fall and got my car tuned nice group of guys. I go a few nice weeks of driving in before the weather cooled off my summer tires turned to iceskates once it hit 50 degrees.
in any event between you. WRX1986, and myself that makes three of us.

Mine has been stored away for about a month now, I sort of jumped the gun and missed out on some nice days. Oh well...
I'm still combing through some of the issues since picking it up. Next Spring, I'll be replacing the differential bushings and installing a Nismo diff cover, additional diff brace, and some Z1 subframe bushing collars After those, and having replaced the compression arm bushings and LCA bushings earlier this Summer, I should be good on the most common rotted out bushing problems.

I was on MNNI but since i deleted my facebook awhile ago not really a part anymore. Check out the https://old.reddit.com/r/350z/ for a small but decent community. Good to see still a few people in minnesota still on here though!

Could someone point me in the direction of a local machine shop that works on VQs? I need to have some head work done and can't seem to find anything. Thanks in advance.

Facebook really puts a damper on the community though. Lots of folks are very negative and are always looking for a reason to hate or make fun of someone. I am an Admin for MNNI and I delete quite a few comments where people are just being jerks for no reason.
@Dingchavez09 I am not super familiar with the local machine shop scene, but I would suggest shipping anything off to a known, reputable builder here in the US. I haven't heard of any shops around here that specialize in VQs.

Where should I send my heads off to? I have all the parts minus the buckets. I went with ferrea valve kit +1mm plus +.001 valve guides. I have someone in minnesota that has done a few VQ's. So i was going to go with him. I was also thinking of sending my bottom end off to have it sleeved at darton but i have read that VQ's don't respond well to sleeves(darton 96mm would be my preferred). My goal is to end with a supercharger(HKS) at about 500rwhp.
