UMich / Ann Arbor Z's
I'll be coming out to visit a girlfriend who goes to school at the U. Michigan Ann Arbor. I'm lookin to do a cruise of some sort in the area on Saturday the 19th. Afternoon / evening. Anyone interested?
I'm driving out from MA (its a long a$$ haul) and I'd like to see what people in other areas do for mods and such. PM me or reply on this thread.
Hope to see some of you folks out there.

I'm only 10 minutes from U of M Campus. We've got a great bunch from this area. I'm sure we can pull something together. After driving that far to see your GF, are you sure you want to hang with guys and their Z's? LOL
Keep us updated and we'll work something out.

Yeah if you guys have some good roads out there I'd like to go for a good little cruise. She actually suggested and I'm all for driving my car. An don't worry, I'm leaving plenty of time open for other things with her. Haha

1.5 to 2 hrs round trip unless we stop at a bar or restaurant.
The roads around Hell are like loops around lakes. In general, the roads of lower Michigan are pretty flat and straight. (In a gridlike pattern.) Hell has lakes and small rolling hills. The roads are tree covered with nice curves. For Michigan, it's OK. After being on the Jawbreaker Rally and riding the Dragon at ZdayZ, I haven't gone back.
There is a good bar called Zukey Lake Tavern. I was planning to make that a stopping place. It's close to Hell and right on the lake. It has a couple floors and an outdoor bar. If we have a few cars, they will tape off an area for us to park in. Lee, if you come, no Jagerbombs! LOL!
We can meet up around 1pm on Saturday, drive over, make a few loops, hit the tavern (safely) and then caravan back to Ann Arbor arriving around 5:30 or 6:00pm. (Later only if you guys want.)
If you want more, you can cruise up to Woodward and check out the cars that make the loop there. The other guys know that area much better than I do. If you are wanting to take the GF out that night, Ann Arbor (called A2) has tons of restaurants and bars. So does the Woodward area. (About 1 hour from A2).

No problem. It is also a restaurant so it's family friendly.

Brian, when would we take off and how long of a drive will it be?
I'm afraid I won't be able to make it since I need to be in southern Illinois for my last family reunion on Sunday. Making it to that might really be a problem since I have overly expensive tickets to see Kevin Smith at the Michigan Theater Saturday. Ugh. Insane weekends.

^^ Tell me when you're available. I can adjust the schedule a little. The nice thing is that it's easy to peal out early if you need and either cut down to I94 south of Chelsea or over to RT23 north of A2. (Territorial Road)
BTW: I'm hoping there will be a few joining. I need someone fast to lead around the lakes. I took a look at my rear tires last night and realized I'm on borrowed time. (Pure slicks with threads showing already after 5 months.) I ordered another $300 pair of disposable tires and I hope they will arrive in time.
Please post up if you can attend this Saturday:
1) Phreakdout
2) Keithman5000
3) Sig11 (Still a go?)
4) AJ ?
5) Deepu?
