Ok, this year I turn the big 4-0 and I thought it is a good excuse to throw a bash at my place.
I will be sending out e-Invites to local members but I need your email addresses. (The e-Invite keeps track of who is able to attend.) If you think you would like to attend, please PM me your email address. Just respond to the e-Invite if you are or are not coming for sure.
VS. For you sports fans, I know you're scrambling to check the football schedule. No problem, I've got ya covered. October 10th is an away game and I will have it on in the theater. The game starts at 8pm EST.
So come enjoy the U of M game against Iowa in HD projected onto a 133" screen with 7.1 surround sound. Yes, that is larger than life size. The theater has two rows of recliners with seating for 7. The rest of y'all gotta take a spot on the floor or use other chairs. LOL.

This is an open party so you can show up or leave when you want. Depending on the number of guests, I may be renting a large tent for the backyard so we'll have space to float about. I'll have music upstairs and outside. If we can pull funds together, we may ask a friend's band to play.
There will be food and assorted mixers as well as a growing collection of alcohol and soda.
Please bring a bottle or pack of your favorite drink to share with everyone. (If everyone pools together their bottles, then the alcohol will be covered and you can sample from what everyone brought. I'm always interested to see what is each person's favorite.)
I will send details on the e-invite. Please PM your email addy ASAP so I can get them out.
OCTOBER 10th in Ypsilanti.
(I94 Exit 183 just East of Ann Arbor.) South of the Marriott on Ford Lake. - Very easy to find!

Sweet ... don't forget to PM the email addy so I can send you the info.
This invite is open to local Z guys. (AJ, Shawn, Billy, Scott, Rob, Steve ..... even if we haven't met yet, this would be a good opportunity.) So bring the Z. My neighborhood is typical upper middle class so your Z is well protected here! LOL!
If anyone drinks too much, we'll either give you a ride, give you a place to crash or take you to a local hotel. It'll be going on late enough to recover if you push it too much. No worries ... I've got you covered. So come on out!

Awesome!!! I got a few responses already. Keep 'em coming. I NEED Z guys there! There will be a ton of my neighbor friends, work buddies, friends from my wife's work but I depend on my Z Buds to keep me sane. No one else understands our obsession with Z-cars!
The wife is sending out the e-Invites this weekend. (Maybe sooner.) Becareful not to discard it like junk mail. Keep checking it to see who is signed up to attend.
Disclaimer: I apologize if the e-Invite looks ghey. I haven't seen it and the wife is doing it. So I take no responsibility unless it's cool, then it was my idea.

oh man, this sounds like fun!! when you find a guy who likes fun toys, it's always a blast to go to his house...there's always more! lol.
sorry to say i've already made a commitment for that night - a friend in the other direction (rochester hills) is having a yearly octoberfest party that afternoon/evening. what he has on yours: he's closer, and he brews a handful of his own beers. and we get to make fun of him for wearing lederhosen.
but that's it, brother - if you were closer, i'd stop in. just too much driving with alcohol consumption. i really, really appreciate the invitation though!
when we meet next, i'm buying you a birthday drink or two....

Sweet!
We'll have to do another Z event at some point. Maybe have an X-Box 360 Forza competition. Even in split screens the picture is still huge. LOL.
Have a good trip!

I did. Framing, wiring, drywall, paint, acoustic insulation. The carpeting and some trimwork around the window was contracted out. Some of the trim is still not done. As soon as it got operational, I got lazy. I may try to finish it before the party. LOL

It's not hard at all. All the baseboards are done. All I need to do is like crown molding between wall and ceiling. This covers the rough cut acoustic material on the wall where it meets the ceiling. Easy stuff. Measure, miter cut, stain and attach.
Then I have a hidden door in the theater that covers my fuse box, security system and cable connections that just needs to be flushed up somehow. Not a big deal, just the last of the details.
I plan to take off Thursday and Friday next week to finish up stuff that didn't get finished this weekend. If everything goes well, I'll be spending those days off working on the Z. (Something I'd rather do.) I still have to install a plenum spacer, Cusco catch can, Wicked Tuning radius arms, need to roll fenders, install studs and spacers. I'm ashamed of the parts that are stacking up. LOL
HAHAH
I used to do everything and work directly for the contractor.
I can do carpentry stuff, though Finish is my speciality.
Let me know though, I am not opposed to coming in and helping with all the above
Its the least I can do for the party invite, besides this summer I have done the LEAST amount of work on a Z in a LONG time. Need to make sure I am not going to get rusty.

Brian is stopping by to help with the rear camber kit

Brian also if you need any help with the Z I'm always down. Or if you're working on the house I'd like to watch and learn since one day I wanna do that stuff to my future house
