My week got crazy busy suddenly. My boss popped into town for the week on Saturday so it sounds like a bunch of work and "team building" (drinking : ) this week. I hope I have time to get my laundry done...
If you have a problem give me a call and I'll do my best to help you out, Brian. It's really pretty easy... especially if you have ever done any soldering.

Oye! What a day!!! I still have things to do tonight!!

Meet location is below at 5:45 am. Leave by 6am at the latest.
MOBIL TRAVEL PLAZA
41358 ECORSE RD
BELLEVILLE,MI 48111
My cell # 248-361-1844
The road at this station is very bumpy and full of potholes. Take care!
We need to be in Lexington, KY between 11:00 am and 11:30 am. This means we will run between 75 and 80 except where there are typically cops. Anyone running a radar detector? I never do since I drive a cop magnet anyway. I may pack some doughnuts just in case I get pulled over.
(I will also post this in the North Central Caravan thread.)
Check over your car early. Tire pressure, oil, gas, music for the trip. Don't forget sunscreen!! Sunburns are typical at higher elevations.

You guys drive safe and as Brian said "Don't forget sunscreen".... I got a little burnt 2 years ago at the air strip event.
Unfortunately I had to back out this year and cancel my room as my ankle is still not healed after injuring it. I can drive the car but any amount of time walking or standing just brings out the pain and discomfort. You guys who have been down there know how much time is spent on your feet when you're not driving... plus the terrain isn't exactly flat.
It will have to be ZdaysZ 2011 for me!!!

Again, I got burnt despite having sunscreen. I had a fantastic time. I hope everyone else did too. Deepu, good luck at Mid-Ohio. Rob, I hope your trip was safe. Sorry the pace was so fast. Lee, thanks for all your help.
After splitting up south of Toledo, I stopped for gas and caffine. Getting back on the interstate, the shift linkage broke loose. I was stuck in 5th gear the rest of the way home.

OH EM GEEE I am exhausted...... could barely stay awake in my meeting this morning.
ZdayZ was a blast! Totally the wrong place to go if you want to stop modding lol. Like I mentioned to others, up here, my car is decently modded, but down there, it's like there's a completely different level of cars. Now I want to buy even more parts.....
But man, driving every day, partying every night. Like Kyle said "they should have Zdayz every month" lol
BIG THANKS to Brian for setting up the cabin and organizing the trip. Because of him we were all able to sleep well at night and have a cabin perfectly placed close enough to the activities.
No problem about the pace, I actually rather drive by myself and relax (watched 4 movies lol) than hold up the group. Although somehow Dil ended up passing me just before Toledo......so maybe I ended up in front of the group since I ate my lunch in the car.
Deepu and I were close enough that we started calling each other about speed traps lol
Our Michigan group is awesome, everybody's super cool and easy going. Glad to have spent the weekend with you guys

Holy crap what a good time. I can't wait until next year. The caravans were pretty fun as well. Driving too fast keeps me awake and paying attention on those long trips.
I seem to have lost my video of the first dragon run... Did one of you guys move it off my card rather than copy? I hope it didn't get overwritten by the camera or something. I have the run with the camera on top and it looks OK but I'm kind-of disappointed by r3. 60fps or not, the video quality isn't nearly as good as r5.
Man... this was a rough trip for your car, Brian. :P
I think I may buy a radar detector... even though I would probably be better off not having one...

It was a great time. I was concerned about the 4 of us sharing a cabin for a few days. (Hoping no one would get tired of each other) but it seemed like we all clicked well. Next year let's get the biggest place we can get.
The bill comes to:
Cabin: $249 x2 nights = $498 / 3 persons = $166 per person
Food: $240 / 6 persons = $40 / person
Call it an even $200 and we're good. I covered the first night, taxes and my portion of the mountain of beer and food.
Kyle and Matt have already paid cash.
I did get the car home safely last night. I hope I have some clutch left. I had to blow through 5 stop sign intersections in 5th gear. I couldn't put it in reverse to get in the driveway so I had to circle the block and park it on the street.
Turns out the bolt came out of the linkage. I think I twisted the Tommy Kiara **** too much when we put the console back in at the cabin. I'm lucky it didn't break on the road trip. I jacked it up and zip tied the linkage to the shifter bolt hole just so I could get it in reverse and back it into the garage. The linkage boot was destroyed by the driveshaft. So I have it and a new bolt being shipped to me from Courtesy Nissan. The damn B&M shifter has a sleeve in the linkage connection and that is gone too. I have no idea where to get such a sleeve so I may end up putting the OE shifter back on.
All this needs to be done the second I get back from Dallas. The parts will be here by then. Why so urgent? We are going down to Tennessee for Memorial Day weekend. Karen is staying for the whole week and I need to drive seperately so I can bring Brianna back.
Hmmm, one more weekend with the Z in the Smoky Mountains. (I can live with that!)

so $166 per person for the cabin? cool.
I already paid you the $40 for the food. I can drop off the cash this weekend if you're in town.
^ yeah that's the one where I slowed down a lot lol

I'll be out of town this weekend. Going back to Knoxville. I was going to have Karen fly back and we all go down in one car, but after this weekend, I want to find every excuse to go to the mountains.

I was wondering why I had so much money. BTW: Did you ever send off your rent? I love the priorities! ZdayZ > Rent
Come to think of it... it was after we started drinking that I paid you...
Oh god I completely forgot. I can't find the envelope. I guess it was lost in the mail. I will have to put a stop payment on it. :P
There are some great pics in the 370z mid atlantic forum and a few in the midwest forum...
