My problem is that I have a hectic month work wise and one of my projects is going live during that period. I need to be available as I am the point person, lucky me I applied for vacation 3 months in advance. There is no way I can leave WED AM. I can "try" for later in the evening, at this moment I am not sure if I can make it for 5PM departure. Definite yes, if it's around 7 PM.

Following are my preferences in order of priority
3, 2, 1

Up until I saw both (Rob & Brian) of your replies I was planning on asking Lee if he'd like to drive together on THU. I myself wouldn't like to break the caravan. I was really hoping to see 10-12 car group driving down to ZDayZ.

I would probably go 2, 3, 1 myself. I can be up and about pretty early if I have to be.

I don't have vacations since I'm a contractor... so I just lose out on my daily wage if I don't work. I'm hoping to keep the number of those days low enough I can just make them up on weekends or something.

Option 2 is definitely not fun lol.

I'm willing to do option 3 if that's the majority vote. Going down by caravan is what makes ZdayZ fun!

I am literally wiping tears out of my eyes. The are only six possible answers and half of them are selected. LOL!!!

Don't sweat it guys. This is still a long time from now.

Deepu, I totally understand the need to minimize the time away during the launch of your project.

Lee: Time is money too. As a contractor, you can't honestly make money on vacation.

Rob: Don't stress about it yet. Last year the air strip event was a wash out in the rain. We should finalize this plan the weekend before. We'll do what is best to avoid weather, traffic, issues with work, etc.

I'll be upfront for you workaholics ... there is zero cell reception in the mountains. No wireless in the villa. You have to go to the lodge to get free wireless. For cell coverage, you might get it with Verizon but signal will be weak. We'll see if 3GS has expanded but I doubt it. It's a way off from the interstate and not many folks in this area carry fancy phones.

I took Thursday through sunday off so 1 or 2 works for me... I'll just get up really early thurs morning if need be.

On a side note if anyone has a cabin with a room open PM me i'll probably take it. If not i'll just get a lodge room.

FYI - I'm still planning to catch up with you guys when you pas through the Cincinnati Area. I'm planning to take Thursday and Friday off work, and would prefer to go the air strip event. Whatever you guys work out count me in on catching up with you.

I can contribute to whatever supplies are needed for cookout etc. when you hang out. Just let me know if anything is needed. I do have a room at the lodge booked so I don't need anyplace to crash.

Sounds good. We'll wait till closer to the date before making the final plans. Either way, we'll target to be down there (at Fontana or Hendersonville) on Thursday afternoon.

Cool! We'll have a Villa so there should be plenty of room for all of us to hang out, drink and cook meals. There are dinners included in the registration but I will cook something at least one night.

Bring beer, alcohol or whatever you want to drink. There is a general store within walking distance but it's expensive. I figure we'll make the run to Robinsville. (It's a great road to get there!!!!) Then we can flood the little town with Z's. LOL

I figured you would! I do want to see you run! We need to get a HD Pro camera mount or two on your car for the drag runs.

PM me if interested!
Awesome! Yours sounds very similar to the one I got. We are a Member's Villa which should be down by where Injected had their dyno last year.

LMK if you find out which unit you're in.

CLAY, see above. It looks like there are spots available.

Not sure what paticular unit I'm in but I've got a two bedroom Laurel cabin reserved.

Found out yesterday that my cabin is once again open; and I would still like to get at least a couple people to room with. Please PM me if any of you guys are interested.

any idea regarding departure date/time?

It looks like nobody wants to leave wed night, so most likely the MI crew will miss the airstrip run. If that's the case, I might head down to ATL earlier in the week and leave from there with the Forged crew.

But I'm looking for a joint decision on when the MI caravan will leave.

Maybe Brian can setup a poll once he is back. Looks like I won't be able to leave WED night.

Deepu, is it you won't be able to leave Wed night at all? What about leaving around 6 pm?

I've been doing 10-12 hr days for past 2 weeks. We are nearing a milestone in our project and we have another team on the West Coast that we need to coordinate with. So these days, I have some work to do even in the evening. So 6pm is kinda doubtful for me. But I promise, I will try

Brian is back. (barely) The trip to Japan was great. China wore my butt out. Hard to believe My350Z must be a restricted website in China. It was like 14.4 dial up and crashed most of the time.

I'll see what I can do about a poll.

If you haven't seen the announcement, the Dragon will be open daily from 8am to 8pm.

Even better, RV and Commercial traffic are forbidden. Wooo-Hooooo! It's better than ever now.
