After seeing Steve's note I decided to chime in as well since you have the same car as mine. Not sure what is the condition of your pads because your post isn't clear if you changed them already.

I used my stock pads on my Nismo for 5 track days before replacing them with Carbotech's. I had about 11K miles on my car and when I started tracking last year and it was never braked very hard so my pad wear could have been less. Unless your car was driven really hard and braked hard your pads should be OK for the event.

I haven't changed them yet. Gilson motorsports were awsome and they told me that all my pads are not enpough for tracking but they charge 80/hr for the labor ending up charging 480 total and I think it's ridiculous so I think I'll get changed at NISSAN dealership or change it by myself since I saw Rob changing it I think I can do ti myself lol
And Thinking of changing pads to Hawk HP Plus Race brake pads and ATE Super Blue Brake Fulid for brake fuel

I talked with Howard about you this morning... He accidentally quoted you wholesale price for the pads he said. I had him change my fluid this morning... They are sure quick! Car feels good.

I bought some SD cards (on sale) for my GoPro today at Microcenter... I'm all set now! Might be a long 7 days.

Fyi, dealerships are not cheap either. I called everyone last year before I did my brake pads last year with Brian's help. They are pretty easy to swap. I remember everyone I called quoted atleast 250-300 in labor. The stock pads are about 90-95$ each side (Front/Rear).

I can help you, if you'd like and tell you how to change them.

It may well cost more than $480. I'm not sure. I do know that my pads were around $350... figure in the time to change pads, fluid, and to bleed you're probably about $550 reasonably.

DIY, its not that hard. I am not sure what's your skill level but if its your first time attempting it have someone look over and/or advise.

Fluid + labor + tax for my change was $105 and some change. Didn't really bother me to pay that... especially after a free inspection. (he did not tell me I had to change fluid)

Actually the ATE super-blue fluid costs 15$ and you will have left over after using 1 bottle. So the labor is around 80$+

Dude you are still ordering parts, do you think you will have time to be done? The track day is next Thursday and besides you still need to get inspected.

I know, I was surprised to find out it will be closer to 700$ for the pad replacement.

Hey guys my car now squeaks when turn the wheel by about a half rotation, this wasn't there the first I changed the pads. Not sure if the pad is rubbing the rotor. I applied plenty of anti-brake gel, I am wondering if I need a special anti squeal gel.

How about yours Rob?

Dust Shield? Do you mean the shims on the pads? I am wondering if I need to change them? Can they be re-used when you change brake-pads?
