I know I just joined this forum but wanted to let you know that a couple BMW guys decided to see about starting a new Cars and Coffee in Detroit in Troy. We created a facebook page and it has now taken off with almost 200 members before our first event. I think having a couple 350/370Zs at this event would be great. We have put the invite out to many other groups so this will not be a BMW only event by any means. Would love to see some of you guys out there. First event is in 2 weeks. Spread the word and let others know all are welcome as long as everyone is nice and doesn't do anything to make us lose this spot.

Thanks for the invite. It's a toss-up for this weekend.. many variables. But I hope to at least make some future meets. Finally, 'coffee' and cars. a good mix for me.

 

I am taking the car out of storage on the 1st, so I am going to try an make it out.

 

Looking forward to meeting some of guys this coming weekend. Don't worry if you can't make the first event either even though it looks like great weather. I am sure if the April one is good, the May will be even better, and the June will be...etc.

Sounds good. I cannot make it this time but I should be ready to go for the next month.

 

We had a great amount of cars show up...at least 100. We may have to look at a new location also but I will post updates when available.

Lastly, not sure if the silver 350Z that was there is on here, but please, no shenanigans. We already need to talk to the owners of the lot and driving dangerously is going to make it harder to keep this spot not to mention that it is dangerous because this is a parking lot. Everyone is welcome to show up, but if people drive dangerously or stupid, we will ask you to leave and not come back.

I was there (Black Z) and I did not recognize the driver of the silver Nismo.

 

Nice to hear there was a big turnout.. Bad to hear about the 'shenanigans', even worse that is was a Z. Was that the only incident?

Bummer that one doofus can make the rest of us look bad too. Not that my absent opinion matters, but, I say ban him.
