The only thing that would be considered 'bad' with a large caravan is finally pulling into FVR and finding parking at the registration office. I remember that the first time.

 

If you have folks sharing your cabin, just send them there ahead of time or they can stop by the rec hall and complete the registration. If you call FVR, they will tell you which cabin you are going to get.

BTW: The Michigan Folk are in 512. Please feel free to stop by and drink with us!!

We're headed down from the North on I-75 towards Knoxville. If you're in North Carolina, you're almost there already!

Phreak, we'll be in cabin 952. I stayed in 507 for 2 years in a row. That was one of the party cabins. But I'll never turn down an invite to party!

We need to be in Lexington, KY between 11:00 am and 11:30 am. This means we will run between 75 and 80 except where there are typically cops. Anyone running a radar detector? I never do since I drive a cop magnet anyway. I may pack some doughnuts just in case I get pulled over.

Check over your car early. Tire pressure, oil, gas, music for the trip. Don't forget sunscreen!! Sunburns are typical at higher elevations.

Thanks, were a few challenges...meeting place was not ideal for staging...and the route presented challenges. I think next year we need to agree on grocery stop before we enter the mountains.
