I just got everything wrapped up today and thought that I would share my experience with everyone. I have had the Vortech on my car for about a year now with out any major issues. I recently decided to swap from a Kinetix version 5 upper plenum to the SSV version 2 and add a return fuel system.

Here is a list of my mods:

JWT S1 cams and valve springs
Kinetix V2 SSV plenum
DC Sport headers
Labree resonated test pipes
Stillen True Dual exhaust
JWT clutch and flywheel
Central 20 3.9 gears
Nismo rear diff cover

I chose Slowmotion Motorsports for the tune for 2 main reasons: They are an authorized Osiris tuner and they are a very short drive from my house. I went in and had Corey tune my car about a month ago.

I was pleased with the tune and I was able to finally correct the hot start issues that I have had ever since I installed the Vortech and larger injectors last year. I made good power with nice gains through the midrange in horsepower and torque from my previous setup with the old plenum.




I noticed some drivability issues and had an erratic idle. So I scheduled another appointment with Corey. I was amazed by the results! It turns out that I was running rather rich from the first tune. The numbers looked good, but since the O2 sensor was at the end of the tailpipe instead of closer to the engine the results were not as accurate. So with some A/F adjustments and tweaking of the throttle settings this is what I got



The guys at Slowmotion were great to deal with and spent several hours today double checking everything today to make sure that my tune was spot on. So if anyone is looking for tuning work especially with Osiris, Corey is definitely someone that you should call

I think I saw ure z at the slowmo meet, didn't know ure were supercharged! Looks nice but +1 on having 500 hp on a stock block. I thought the stock block can only handle 400 hp.But sick numbers though

 

Thanks for the kind words guys! I am definately on the upper limits of the stock bottom end that is for sure. I am a tech at a Nissan dealer, so worst case senario I have to do my own work

 

There were 2 black supercharged Z's there. Mine and Bryan's. I just caught the end of your meet, but it looked like a good time! I'll have to try and make it out to another some time.

 

curious to see how long it holds up...do you drive the car alot or track it at all? how many miles are on the car?

also do you have a dynojet around that you could hop on? i have always seen dynapacks read high and id like to compare it to a dynojet number

 

These days the car only makes it out of the garage on nice days. It had been up to MidOhio a few times, but not since the retune.

No dynojet numbers. I doubt that I will ever have any. I did do a comparison on a Mustang dyno after the 448/366 tune. The numbers on the Mustang were 428/343. I have not gone back since this last tune was done.
