Cool, I'll try to go on that day also. It really depends on my school workload, though.
Haha, I haven't broken my axles (nowhere near your power level) so no axles.

Near Joliet here. Also on Chicago Z. Hoping to make some meets/cruises. Heading to IMS show this weekend. Doubt I make the car show. It's been years since I've been there.
Is it even any good anymore? The year I went the show was small.
Oh yea '04 Silverstone. Waiting to be modded and driven.
HURRY UP SPRING!!!

I went on Saturday and lucked out. Happened to walk right by Jeep/Dodge where the Adrenaline Rush girls were just about to perform. A few of them were . And there was this one hot chick with an insane *** .
The car show was cool, but I was a bit disappointed at the lack of exotics. I liked seeing all the daily drivable cars and some of the concepts, though. I've been to the Dallas one, albeit a long time ago, and I have to admit I was more impressed with it than this one. A friend of mine also said that the Chicago one was disappointing (she's used to going to Detroit Auto Shows).

^ I agree. Chicago people have their own forum, but it barely get any traffic (maybe like 30 bumped threads on a good day). I figured I'd try my luck here to see if there were anybody not on the local forum.
I miss my Dallas group.

^ All 3 of you guys have sick set ups! I'd love to see each of your Zs. We should definitely have a meet in the near future. I know the Michigan guys were talking about having a meet with the Chicago people, so you Wisconsin guys should see if you can join in on the fun.

Chicago Z and Windy City Z Club are two different groups., although we do share some same members. For the most part, Windy City Z Club is for classic Zs, although id hate to shoehorn them into just that.
As for Chicago Z, its just in a transition period. All clubs wax and wane, and we happen to be in a waning period. Two years ago we had meets every week that drew 40-50 cars, and monthly meets with over 100. A lot of the core members moved onto other cars or other things, and that has left a bit of a hole in the group. We are actively working on bringing the community back together this year.
As for you Michigan guys, I just posted up the Midwest Heritage Z Fest here in the midwest forum. It would be awesome if you guys could make it to the event!

Chicago scene is dead because it's WINTER. No one does sh*t in the winter. No meets/events/etc. Come back to ChicagoZ in the sping and you'll see more activity. Texas scene definitely seems much more active from what I've seen.

And yeah, I figured many of the past members moved on, as that's happened in the TX region a few times over already. What I was referring to was that the people that left weren't replaced by a new wave of Z guys like I saw happen to TX. I guess how quickly the void is filled depends on the region.
The Dallas guys are smaller in number but they're pretty active both on and off the forums, regardless of weather (TX winter is weak but it's still winter to TX ). Not really complaining but more missing the TX action and the closeness of the community, I guess.
