I know we've been talking about it for a while, so let's get this going quickly and plan the route, the times, the locations, and enjoy what could be our last month of enjoying our cars.
Tara has told me that she wouldn't mind hosting another breakfast meet and then seeing us off with full bellies before we go for a nice drive. If I'm not hungover still, I might like that.
October 15th is a Saturday, Should we leave an alternate day as an option? I think Sunday the 16th would be a good option day.
Mike in Rochester has told me that he could give a food joint down there a heads up that we're coming as a large group. I don't remember the name of the place. We'll get to that later.
I suggest we drive down that way and try a new road that spills out into the east side of Winona. That county road is really nice once you pass through the farm country. It's Co Rd 14 from highway 52 to 61 in Winona. The last few miles near Winona are really nice. From there, we can make our way up north towards Hwy 60 to go through Zumbrota Falls again.

As for the route, we should stop and take some photos either down by the river by the Winona bridge, or by the lakes. We actually have a G from La Crosse meeting us in Winona.
If we wanted to eat a brunch at your place Dave(thanks again for the hospitality yesterday Mr. Bartender!!!), we should plan to be there pretty early...like 8 or 9 atleast the latest so we can get on the road by 9:30-10.

So what time do we want to be at Newts? It shouldn't take more than 1.5 hours to get there from the city, right? Where should we stage up if we're not going to do breakfast here? Just looking at options.

I'm glad you guys made it home safely. I was a little crazy with the drinks last night. I started drinking Gatorade and water after everyone left.
I would shoot for 11. There is a Menards across the way and we can take over their lot for parking. Plus it will be much easier approach for the lowered folks

Sounds good. So Newts at 11 for lunch? I hope this won't take 2 hours. I just went to Pizza Luce for lunch on Friday with a large group of people, and it was nuts with the amount of time the orders took.
Yea it was a pretty easy drive home, there were a few cops out tho
