Default Ohio G Club "The Driven with Purpose Road Rally"

Please visit my Facebook page and consider joining! I recently have had two immediate family members diagnosed with cancer. For those that know me know that I that I am all about giving back where I am blessed. Well, I refuse to stand by and do nothing about this. I am planning a road rally in October 2012 to benefit a Local charity that focuses on helping cancer survivors (pending approval). They are helping my sister already and their work is impressive. More info to come about them.

For those that have been around long enough, I am planning to turn our annual Hocking Hills drive of Rt. 555 and make it even more impressive!

All the info in on the facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/Driv.../?notif_t=like

Coming October, 7th 2012!

What drives you? That is the question that is asked by many. We here are Driven With Purpose.

Our Goal?
To combine our love of Automobiles and helping others and raise $10,000.

How?
A road rally to benefit Breast Cancer Survivors (Local Beneficiaries to be named as soon as they approve our request).

What is a road rally?
A cannonball or road rally is a fun, street legal driving event where participants will drive a given distance, meeting checkpoints along the way, specifically checkpoints that highlight the businesses that are sponsoring the event. The participants will be given clues to discover the route, which can cover several hundred miles, across multiple counties in the state of Ohio.

Who is this marketed towards?
The target audience is car enthusiasts of all types, to include Import, hot rod, exotic and classic automobiles. This event will not be exclusive to those listed. The only cars that will be turned away are those that are not mechanically sound or appear unsafe for Ohio roads. All vehicles must be street legal, have current insurance and ability to prove coverage, and finally, have valid registration and license plates. Age range with the owners of the vehicles, but the minimum age limit will be set at 18 years old for all participants. The target number is 100 vehicles, to include a driver and a navigator.

When will this take place?
The ideal date will be in October, during Breast Cancer awareness month.

We are looking for Sponsors, Volunteers and Donations. If you would like to be a part of this monumental event, please contact Jeremy S. Clark here on Facebook.

More information to come as its finalized. Please be patient and spread the word!

clay- you should definitely be in on this!

There is not an official website yet but it is in the works for registration, information, and what-not. You don't need to be on facebook to get the info. I'm sure jeremy will make sure it gets relayed here, if not I will. This event is going to be awesome, a good drive for a good cause.
