Default checking to see if theres anyone in ohio

just checking to see if there is anyone from ohio on here maybe more specifically in the southwest are. i myself am in dayton and know that i have seen quite a few around. i have been active on other threads here specifically the tire feathering and window grease, to much of my despise. but i have yet to see anyone post in the regional section from this area.

would love to trade ideas on different things such as dealers in the areas that are working the best with warranty issues all the way down to how to get through the winter with these beasts. just putting feelers out.

I live in the Cleveland area (Brunswick) I have no problem in the snow. I bought Pirelli Winter 240 Snowsport tires. They handle great in the snow. I did research on different snow tires. Tirerack.com has a great chart showing the top rated snow tires.
Dunlop was rated #1 but does not have the same sizes to fit my 17" rims. Pirelli was real close 2nd and had correct sizes. They are z rated and great. Not cheap!! $800.00 but you can't use the oem tires in the winter.

i checked out your site it looks pretty tight. do you guys have any street 350's or is everything that you have modded out? dont know if that makes sense but what i am looking for is who you deal with, what dealer and so forth cause i am currently embattled with that infamous tire feathering situation like everyone else. i would be willing to drop the money down for the suspension if that is definitively what solves the problem.

We are sponsored by and work with Jeff Wyler Nissan in Batavia.....we are right around the corner form them.
We have a couple of 350Z's that come through our shop....both race and street. If you ever are looking for parts let us know as we can get anything at good rates. We are race shop so installs can be done also. The Konis are a very good deal ...both in ride and bang for the buck.
Cheers

heres my situation. i would love to start modding my Z out, with some performance stuff but also with a lot of cosmetic stuff. new rims, new shoes etc.. especially in the spring. but with this feathering issue that i have gotten i am very leary about it now. as you can understand i dont want to drop a grand or more into tires to only have them last a 1-2yr at best. not smart. from what the feathering thread has started to show is promise that with careful alignment, different tires, and maybe at most a s-tune suspension this can be alleviated. people are starting to get upward of 5-6k miles on tires with no sign of wear whatsoever. my question for you is do you guys do any race style alignments (this is where people have had the most success, the dealer seems to be f**king these up), and also do you guys have the resources for this suspension. any help would be greatly appreciated. i you dont, do you know of any alignment shops in the area other than these chains?? someone who would really know what the are doing?? thanks

To answer your question ...yes.
We can get whatever you need and do the alignment. We hvae been racing the 350Z for over a year and have worked a lot with its suspension.
We can get everything form rims, tires, suspension and engine stuff......anything you need let us know.
Cheers

Cool

I live in Cleveland and only drive the Z when there is no snow on the roads, last time out was Sunday morning.

I have the grease on both windows and lately I am hearing a vibration/rattle from the passenger door, possibly the speaker.

Transmission is ok, a bit tight when cold but improves after car warms up.

I have 5800 miles on the car and tires look great, but suck in the snow.

Mods I have now only consist of insanes grounding kit, and a K&N drop in filter.

Currently, searching for 19" wheels and tires under $2300 and also would like some coilovers.

Whats up Ohio people? I live in the Dayton area and I'm looking for someone who would like the ability to put thier windows UP from the factory remote. I have recenlty developed a small circuit that adds this feature to the G35 coupe and I believe it should be compatible with the 350Z also.

Here's how it works - When you push the 'lock' button twice within 1 second the windows go up. If the ignition is on the feature is disabled. Ignition controlled door locking is built into the G35 module (it is defeatable) but I don't think it will work right in the Z because there is no ignition controlled unlocking yet. If anyone is interested in this PM me. I am willing to install the module (just requires removing the driver door panal) for free, and sell the module for only $20. That is about what it costs me to make them (I had circuit boards custom made for this project).

Thanks
Kevin Pierson

what kind of stuff do you need to run on the track. a class, certification, what??? I have never done anything like this before but would love to do it. Never had a car that would be worth it and also i bought my Z last year in October, so the Season was winding down. I would love to hit a road circuit. all i have here around dayton is a local drag strip to "Test and Tune".

Simply, all you NEED is a SA2000 helmet. NOT a motorcycle hat. Beefing up your brake pads & fluid is strongly recommended. It's late & I'm tired, so do a search for NASA......

There are newby sessions, so instruction will be required. An Excellent, inexpensive way to learn how to properly drive.....B*LLs out!
