Question WI/IL Good dealers for feathering TSB?

Recently received notice from Nissan regarding latest TSB 04-043 for tire feathering/alignment. Given some of the horror stories on the forums, looking for opinions on good dealers for this service in the Milwaukee, Madison, or Chicago area?

Anyone in these 3 areas had this TSB done yet? Thanks!

PM me and I will make sure you get taken care of by us. We have 4-5 sets of tires ready to go back to Nissan as we speak.

thanks for the offer.

I ended up at Rossen Nissan on 27th street Milwaukee. Bob in Service took care of me no problem.

They gave me new tires no hassle, had them shipped in in about 3 days...gave me a loaner car.

They sent the rims over to another shop to get the new tires on...no scratches on the rims.

Don't know if the feathering will come back..... but Im glad they didnt give me any hassle.

I may have to try Rosen myself. I took my car in 4 weeks ago to Gentile in Racine (closest to home) to have the feathering problem looked at and they told me they would order new tires.

Two weeks later I had to call them to call them and ask what was going on and they tell me they just got them in. I dropped my car off the next morning and 7 hours later they call me to say they were sent the wrong tires and couldn't do the alignment. They said the new order shouldn't take as long to get, that was exactly 2 weeks ago....

Wow that sux. I mean why wait to tell you they got the wrong tires 7 hours later. I empathize with ya.

These are the exact stories ya read on the forums and **** people off, and put fear in ya. Its like you dont want to waste your time, and have some **** mess up your car.

I forgot to mention, I called like 5 dealers before I picked one. Not exactly scientific, but I ask for the service manager, asked if they knew about the TSB...the toe settings, etc. And Bob over at Rossen was the only one that had a damn clue.

Good luck~!

eh, not looking good. I called after work today and told them I'm calling about my front tires for the Z TSB. I spoke to the head Nissan service guy and I had to tell him what make and size of the tires. He said he'd call me back, never did. This is the same guy that I had called 3 times before for tires, and he even said he has already dealt with 5 other Z's for this problem.

The first set of tires (the wrong ones) they had gotten in, I told them to just throw those on if they were at least the right size, I was desperate to get rid of the noise and was heading out on a 700 mile trek that week. He said he couldn't because then I wouldn't be able to rotate my tires front to back.....

I'll give them the rest of this week, then tell em to shove their tires up their @55.
