What are some reputable performance shops in the area of:

--New York
--New Jersey
--Pennsylvania
--Maryland
--Delaware

I am interested in the fully build engine work and turbo installations.
Nissans only would be awesome, but I am flexible.

I've talked to my current shops where I was building my previously owned 96 Prelude Si (t3/t4 ball bearing), but they are not specializing in Nissan performance and still in a process to get me in touch with someone.

Meanwhile, I am open for any suggestions.

Are you looking to have the engine installed or just built? There aren't really any shops in my area that I know of that do any hard-core work, mostly just looks stuff, but if you just want an engine built, there is a great machine shop in my area (Harrisburg, PA) called Pro Line, Inc. They do a lot of V8's, but have done 4G63s and VG30DETTs. They built my Buick motor for me, and these guys know what they are doing, plus they charge very reasonable prices. You might want to talk to the guys at www.rosenautosport.com (Richmond VA). They do a lot of work with Nissans. The 350Z will probably be a target audience once they get organized and suppliers emerge.

 

I am primarily looking for a very experienced shop that will complete the entire project for me which includes a full engine build up for turbo installations and etc….

I don't mind if my 350Z is the first one there as long as all the work is supervised/performed by a professional Nissan mechanic.

I am currently shopping for a performance shot in the areas listed above, which will also give me a major break/discount on parts costs as well. I am willing to go all out on the project including leaving the car there for whatever specified time that is required.
