delaware?!?
I searched for Delaware and found no results so I felt the need to post. I live by the beach and just started shoppping for a z. In the town where I live there is a fancy used car dealership that has one red touring z with 600 miles(a demo I guess) for 37.5k. While I was looking at it(with no intention to buy) I was approached by a greasy salesman who wanted to know if I had questions. So of course I innocently asked, " what was the msrp of this car?" He said he had no idea beacuse it wasn't new but it was close to the price being asked. Typical BS. Thankfully I am friends and drinking buddies with the sales managar and son of the owner of one of the largest nissan dealerships in the state. So I plan to feed him a variety of small batch bourbons until he agrees to split the difference between invoice and msrp on a DB performance. Oh yeah, since there is no sales tax in Del., I may end with the least expensive 350 in the country. Wish me luck because that is the only way this car fits my budget right now. I'll post the final price and some pics if I can pull this off.
Hey, Kevin from Camden, DE I got my 350z came in Aug 2002 ordered in Feb. 2002 paid list at Sheridan Nissan New Castle, DE
There is 2.75% sales tax on cars in DE but you can register for 5 years in one shot $100. Mine is Blue base model 1st in state ser # 0000318

Same for mine, from Concordville Nissan a bit further north from New Castle, De just over the line into PA. Excellent sales staff, all my Nissans have been from here.
Ordered last January and first delivery to dealer 9/8/02. Happened to be going by on the way to my office and saw two being delivered. It turned out one was mine! Dumb luck, never thought I'd get that timing right even though the delivery kept getting postponed due to the truck's mechanical failure enroute. It was a long weekend waiting to finally see what I ordered so long ago.
Not disappointed with it in any way!
Depending on the VIN # you may be looking at a car someone purchased on speculation and took delivery and then went to a car auction. Concordville has picked up a few this way over the months.
