Hit up Pats or Genos on 9th and Passyunk Ave for the "philly cheesesteak experience"...

Then hit up old city for drunk college girls or Rittenhouse Square for the classy, yuppy, chickies...

SEMA is in Ft Washington i think...like 10-15 min outside of center city so it depends on where ur staying, but there are def tons of places to go - and since spring is just hitting us, everyone will be out and about this weekend im sure...

For a nite scene go to old city. Their are tons are bars and clubs in that area. You can't go wrong. Between market and chestnut. ( blue maritini, bluezettes, 5 spots, club 27, world, etc....) You can also check out spring garden for clubs ( transit, flen wake, plammers) Delaware ave ( Dave and busters, some latin clubs i can't remember the name) Also you find a lot of people meeting up for street racing in that area.
Shopping go to king prussia mall. It is one of the largest mall or Franklin Mills. If you need more info pm me.

 

I like Jim's (on SS), but I can never tell how they compare to Pat's (my favorite place) -- I always end up going to Jim's early in the morning after the clubs. I can tell you that at 3am when I am wasted, Jim's is like a little slice of heaven.

 

Can't go wrong with Pat's and Geno's in South Phil. Damn I miss my cheesesteaks... someone FedEx me an order!

 

Mad River is the college hot spot right now good on Fri and Sat nights ( in old city Philly)
Demi is the best uber-cool place to go, best night is Saturday (located near rittenhouse in Philly)
KatManDu in Trenton, NJ is good on Thursdays (2 dollar bottles last time I checked)

As far as steaks go...if you want the true philly experience go to Pat's or Geno's. There is a special way to order. I would go with a Whiz Wit. Thats a Cheese Steak with Whiz and onions. If you want the best food.....Tony Luke's

Rick, he's messing with you. Go to the counter at Pat's and say "I would like one Philadelphia Cheesesteak with provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato and some lightly fried onions on a toasted wheat roll."
