Every year at the Cape Cod Meet (this year it is May 13th) we raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) through a raffle and an auction of "car related" items. The first year we raised ~$650 and last year we raised ~$950. In addition to the money raised, I have matched these amounts, so for every dollar we raise, the CFF actually receives double that amount! This year we are asking for everyone's assistance to help surpass last year's amount.

If you are a company that sells car related items, 350Z/G35 specific items if possible, please PM me with what you are willing to donate. Last year there were ~70 350Zs and G35s so the exposure will be excellent as well as very much appreciated. Please PM Me for additional information.

If you are an individual, and you have an item (preferably new) that you would be willing to donate to the meet, that would sincerely be appreciated. Alternatively, if you know of a company that you think would be willing to donate something to the meet, please contact them and ask for their support. Please PM Me with any questions/comments and I will help you out.

BTW, for anyone that wonders why we chose the CFF, it's to help find a cure for my niece Julia and everyone else who has Cystic Fibrosis (CF). Julia was diagnosed with CF 3 days after she was born after the state instituted mandatory screening for the disease on March 1, 1999. Her birthday was March 6th, 1999 and I'm pretty sure she was the first baby to test positive in MA. Out of ~4 million babies born in the US each year, only ~1000 are "lucky" enough to be born with the disease.

Probably like a lot of you, I really didn't know too much about CF. The short summary of it is that it causes problems in the lungs and the lack of nutritional absorption from foods in the intestines. If you're interested in a little more in depth explanation you can CLICK HERE. Fortunately, thanks to research, life expectancy has grown from an average of ~14 years in 1970 to ~33 years currently! That's great news, but with Julia just celebrating her 7th birthday last month, a cure cannot come soon enough. Hopefully, with everyone's help, someday she will be celebrating her 77th birthday!
