Hey guys I'm trying to put together a convoy down to E-Town on July 8th for their SCCA Solo II event. So far I think we've got my Z, an Evo, an STI, and possibly a GTI going. I'd love to see some more Z's there, anybody interested?

Its 40 dollars for non-members and 30 dollars for members. You generally get about 6 runs. All you need to do is have the car cleaned out, interior wise. Nothing moving around (cds, shoes, clothes etc.) and make sure your tires are in good shape/on properly (no brainer). They lift your hood real quick, dont worry they dont touch anything. They just want to make sure the car is sound and safe for you and spectators.
You need to wear a helmet, however if you dont have one you can borrow one of theirs. It starts very early, around 830am you should arrive and the first car is off at 10am. Ive done this many times and so does my son in his STI. Its a ton of fun and you learn soooo much about your car.

yeah you can still attend. Sorry guys I started this thread and then forgot about it. The event is tomorow at Englishtown, I'll be leaving from long island around 7:15am. Hope to see some of you there.

but must say..... we 350zs and g35s need to make a better pressence at these events. only 2 zs and 2 gs..out of 128 cars. wat's up with that.?? come on people.

Yeah guys I have to appologize, both of my buddies backed out on me at the last minute, so i got a little PO'ed and said 'screw it, I'm not going.'
Still wish I had, I'll definitely hit up the next one. I'm glad that those of you that went had fun. I seriously live for that kind of stuff, I don't even drag race anymore. It's so much more fun, and I feel it's a lot easier on the car (except maybe for the tires). I'll post up the next event i'm going to, hopefully we can get a better Z turnout, and this time I promiss I'll show up haha.

 

july 22nd is the next one...sat. let me know if anyone wants to roll there together from northern nj. i'll be leaving about 7am. would be nice if to grab breakfast before we head out.
