Default Decent Service Department in Delaware?

Hello fellow Delawareans,

I was wondering where you guys take your Z's for servicing? I recently moved up from Florida where my service deptartment was top notch. And hope to find somewhere around here of similar quality.

I went up to Sheridan Nissan today to get my service transferred and to set up my scheduled maintanence, and quickly realized that the place was saturated with dirtbags. They told me that I was only supposed to get covered oil changes every 5k, and that the other checks would probably run me about 150-250 bucks. I was like "Hold up, all my maintanence is covered through 45k, per my service contract." To which they answer, well we don't have your VIN so we can't tell you if that's true." So I went and got them my VIN, and they still tried to contest me. Then once I got that, kind of, sorted out, they tried to tell me that I wasn't due until 15k. I said, my last appointment was at 9k, and have driven 4k moving up here, and getting settled. They said well, you missed that so 15k is the next time we'll cover it.

Pretty shady if you ask me. My service dept. in FL never gave me any problems. I'd drive up, they'd fix/service it, and send me home with a $0.00 reciept, no questions asked. Sheridan wanted 175 to "Do all the stuff on this list", which amounted to a bunch of stuff that was 1) covered on my package, 2) Work that could never be verified.

So that narrows me down to the dealership in Newark and the one in Dover, either/or does for me, any recommendations?

Thanks,
Ryan

I usually go to winner infiniti on 273 by the college. i've got a g35 but a vq is a vq, right. their service is top notch, they have a very pretty and nice receptionist, and they don't give me any crap about my mods.

Sheridan Nissan Service is horrible. I took my car there when my windows were sticking down. My car was returned to me with screwdriver pry marks all over the interior of the door. I had to take it back three times to have it fixed right.

I was also jerked around by them about tire feathering. They kept telling me to come back in a couple weeks for tires. After a while I started realizing the game they were playing.

I thought I was supposed to have my car serviced there for warranty issues because I bought it there. Their parts department used to be pretty good, but since they pissed me off so bad, I haven't been back. I'll never buy a car there again now.

I'll call the Infiniti dealership and see if they work on Z's. Lawndart, where do you go for regular maintanence? I looked at the Porter Nissan website, and think I'll give them a try, at least their dealership looks clean.

I've only had to take it in to a dealer for service one time since. I took it to Hertich Nissan in Dover. I used to live near there. They replaced my rear axle shafts when they were making noises. No complaints. All other repairs, clutch job, brake job, and oil changes I've done myself. When I need something done that I cannot do, such as a alignment, then I take my car to a specialist.
