In any case, this shouldn't deter you all from coming one bit.

As I said previously, this is a very different event from a "meet" where people come up, park their cars, and socialize or BBQ outside. This event is a DRIVING ACTIVITY, and as such, we will be in our cars 90% of the time. If the roads are a little damp from time to time, no big deal. Sure we may not be able to let it rip like on dry roads, but it will still be plenty of fun. Some of you may also be surprised how well the tree-studded mountain roads are protected from the few sprinkles that might be present.

Anyway, the bottom line is that this is in no way shaping up to be anything even remotely resembling a major rain event, so let's not get all paranoid/bummed out. Everything is still most definitely on.

I don't know what all the fuss is about. I drove from NY to the Cape Cod Meet. Weather wasn't great but WTF!! On the way back it was a torrential downpour but I didn't care because....I DRIVE A 350Z !!! As our beloved govenor in Cali once said...Do it do it now!!!

WESTERN MASS WEATHER UPDATE:

8pm Saturday: No rain since 8am. Roads dry. Sun had been popping out from time to time during the day. Stars visible in some places at present time. Keep your fingers crossed. We basically only need a 4-5 hour rain-free window to do the run tomorrow.

Weather says rain all day tomorrow.
For CT, where we won't be. For West Springfield and Stratton it says 40-50% chance of showers all day. I will take my bets.

It might be a little late to post this, but for anyone within 1hr 45 min, if you haven't left yet, weather is foggy, but roads are dry. No rain yet.

Thanks to all who came. What a ride!!!!! The last stretch was insane!!!!

For those who didn't make it, you missed out on a good time. The weather held out for the most part. There was sun early on, then just a sprinkle or two. Roads were only slightly damp in some places. Rained on the way back, but we didn't care about that.

Til next season...

Thumbs up 56k - no way!

Had a great time!! The weather was fine on the trip there to Stratton Mtn, VT. The roads were wet, but it was managable.

A BIG THANK YOU TO SPEEDRACER for setting this up!!

I hope everyone shares the pics they took...
