I just wanted to post this as a possible event for anyone interested.

AKA will be having a Mini- Rally around October 6-8. We will be driving from Bar Harbor Maine -> NYC. The entry fee for the 3 day trip will include all food and lodging (including Open Bar parties each night), you would only need to cover gas and tolls. The roads will be mostly twisties and avoid all major highways wherever possible. Estimated cost will be just over $1,000 for the trip for 1 car with 2 people.

I did the Vegas -> D.C trip and loved it. This would be a great opportunity to drive some very beautiful Northern roads in the fall and a chance for people to get a taste of the road rally experience. I understand the route to comprise mostly of 35mph roads with lots of turns etc, so speeds will be down, but the driving will be that much more exhilarating.

The schedule is still in development, but it should be finalized by the end of this month.

There will be people joining this event from all over the US with varying cars of all types like Evo, Subie, BMW, Mustang, Lotus, 350Z, Porsche, Skyline etc. Those that either do not have cars that can make this or don’t want to drive up there are renting cars. The favorite is looking to be a limited edition Shelby GT rented by Hertz.

I posted this here in case anyone might be interested. I know you guys have the opportunity to drive these great roads all the time for free. But this weekend trip gives you a chance to do it with a bunch of other car enthusiasts and party in different cities each night with the same bunch of crazies that you enjoy racing/driving with.

The rally lets you meet people from all over the country that enjoy the same driving/cars you do.
