Default Lets put together a NorthEast Monster Cruise!

Originating out of New Jersey and pulling together the North Jersey/South Jersey/Philly area/Delaware crews. Maybe something that would take us to a mountainous area. A weekend thing leaving on a Saturday and returning on Sunday.

Any interest before Winter comes? Would also allow us to meet others from different regions.

Too late to schedule and you would need to go from NJ to Buffalo NY (Niagra Falls) to get a LOT of the Upstate Z's to come out.
My car goes up on blocks in a couple weeks and I have cruises planned for both weekends.

This is a great idea!! Shouldn't be to hard to plan out a route. I'll all for it!! I missed out on the Northeast mountain run last week due to bad directions and would love to get in a nice long cruise before putting the Z away for the winter!! Don't be discouraged...go for it!!

Thanks for the input! Wasn't discouraged at all. I'm sure there are many that are not scheduled in something. We still have two good months left.

So lets GO! Who's interested at this point. We will put the details together as we gain interest.

I'm down, just depends on the weekend. And also depends on where the orgin of the cruise started. I don't wanna drive 4+ hours to spend 2 days driving....get what I mean..... Thats why I don't do the ones in Mass.

What would we be willing to do? Drive to a destination (preferably south) and pick up cars as we go? Head to a point , grab a hotel, hang out and then head back the following day. Any ideas on a destination. Scenic route?

well i suppose going south will be the best bet! I'm in Marydel, MD right by dover, DE. I know there are quiet a bit of people with Zs in VA area! We can go down 13S to chesapeake bay bridge/tunnel to VA bridge, forgot the name (the one with woods all around it), pass by virginia beach on the way, and head down to Hateras Islands (NC) into charlotte and back up! It's a long ride, but i think it will be fun! Any more ideas?

Ok, Lets start a list. We can work the details out as we go. This would be a trip that my wife would love to do. She's not normally into my Z/G activities, but this would be fun for the wives/gf as well.

Little late in the year for this. Come Spring we will be doing the Northeast Mtn Run again, you can organize a Caravan from down there and the last 2 hrs will be all mountains and curves. Ask others who have been on this site before, its an awesome ride.

Here's the deal. December 2, 2006, we are going to cruise south to a destination yet to be determined. We will get a hotel and hang out for the night, have breakfeast the next morning like civilized people and then roll home. We will pick up Z/G's along the way down and up and it will be one of the finest cruises the Z community has yet to experience.

Thats the plan, now need to create momentum. We have four interested cars since last night and it would be great if this turned out to be 30.

Its far enough into the future that you can plan. This is a spouse/gf inclusive event.

Get excited and lets start to plan.

Is this going to be a nice cruise or is everyone going to try and top their cars out on the interstate? I know there's some people who like to drive fast, but when you have a lot of cars, its just not fun. I know when I did my cruise a few weeks ago, we never really went over 45....but they were back curvey roads. I just know how some people can get when on the open highway.

I would be down for this if my snowboarding trip gets cancelled that same weekend.

Christian, I don't know about you but I remember getting up to 60+ mph on them backroads. I'm sure if your leading the pack it's not quite as fun as just cruising along.
