ticket question please help.
so i got three tickets on 495(L.I.E)about five years ago.i sent them in not guilty and waited for my court date.i never received one.since then ive been to the dmv on numerous occasion requesting my driving record, they were never on it,so i forget about them.i just received a letter with a court date for this month for the three tickets.
my question is,isnt there some statute of limitations law? or cant i fight it and say it violated my right for prosecution in a timely manor?
any advise would be greatly appreciated.

I would bet you will win in court, first the cop may not work there, second the cop won't be able to remeber pulling over one person 5 years ago unless you were amazing. Ask him how many tickets he adverages a day, multiply that times 1000 and spit that number back...than ask how many people he pulls over and doesn't give tickets to. Deny whatever chargers he claims, if he claims he can recall your actions after 5 years and thousands of stops than he is willing to lie on the stand.
Call the dept first, see if he still works there.
