Default It's Track Season Here In the Northeast

Anyone plan on putting their Z on the track this season. If you like driving as fast as you can in a relatively safe environment (no cops, no left lane hogs etc.) check out some road racing. Most of the track groups will allow you to put your car on the track as long as it's in safe good condition. You don't need a roll bar or any modifications. They will match you up with an instructor at no cost. It's a lot of fun and can be very addicting. One of the groups you can check out on line is. www.pdadrivingschool.com.

I did a PDA with mine this past weekend. What a great time , next one is in May , and i have about 3 autocrosses to hold me over. I am noticing most fo the Z crowd would rather pose and act pretty with there cars , rather than drive them.

I was scheduled for Lime Rock this weekend, but they had 18" of snow (sin city does not have that problem) the event was canceled. I've got quite a few dates booked for this season. Yes, I agree it seems most owners want to spend all their money on various mods and talk about whats faster than whatever, but they are not going anywhere. Maybe racing some idiot in an S2000 or whatever from traffic light to traffic light. I do get a kick out of a lot of the comments. I belong to the NJ Z Club and I keep pushing for a day at the track But, it turns out it's me and one other guy. Everyone else wants to stand around the parking lot with their hoods up staring at their engines and their latest mod. That's OK, but come on these cars were meant to be driven. At least you are having fun and doing what the car was meant to do in safe surroundings. Which do you like better, autocross or road racing?

Road racing , i want to eventually get into time attacks. This past weekend was my first time on that track with a car, i just quit racing sportbikes. Autocross is what got me started in the car thing, it was just something to do other than bke racing. Its fun , but i love the race track.
