Default Took the Z to get State Inspection and FAILED!

Well heres the scoop. I have a '03 LS Touring with 43K Miles. I took the car today to get inspected and the emissions passed, but the safety didn't. Heres what I was told was wrong. The rear tire tread was low. I already knew this but was hoping to get away with them being borderline. Their BFG KDW-2 stock 18" size. Anyone got any good prices? Next they told me my Front Rotors were .010 under the accepted thickness but my pads were fine....WTF! So my next quest is to find a OEM Rotors...Anyone wanna part with some? I got 2 weeks to do this before I goto TN....

Yea, i'm not sure if other states enforce our rules, my only concern is I'm going to Knoxville in 2 weeks for a military school, and I don't want any cops giving me **** trying to drive on base with expired inspection.

KWD2's you can get from Tirerack for a good price. Check the classifieds, sometimes when people upgrade to slotted rotors or BBK's they sell off their OEM rotors for cheap. Otherwise you can get some NAPA blanks or Cetric (?) blanks for cheap too.

Air Force cops are worse...But I'm getting OT

I just don't understand how in 40K miles the rotors are bad....but the pads are good...Neither have ever been touched...I want a second opinion. Plus they tried to con me into letting them do the work before I took the car, said I would be driving Illegaly and they should do the work. Quoted me $1200 for rotors and tires. I told them to go FU*K themselves. It was the Firestone next to the Oxford Valley Mall.

You can do the pads and rotors yourself and get them online for helluva lot cheaper than $1200.
