TriState Area Karting Meet (PFM)
Guys,
There is a place in North Jersey called Velocity 17 (V-17) karting (thanks Philthy!) http://v-17.com/ that I have heard about, which offers real karting.. or pretty real karting at least
I thought this would be a great idea for a meet... there is so much ******** on these forums and there are a lot of you I have not met and cars I have not seen in person I would like to.
This event will be open to... anyone that wants to go lol. I organized a skydiving trip earlier this month and it went really well, so I wanted to try again with something different.
Before I go ahead and contact this place about a group event I wanted to get an idea of what interest would be like for an mid-to-early November date on a Saturday. **just a note**: at this point I do not know if they offer group packages or whatnot... this is just a feeler for how many people would actually go. if you are going to bring guests that are not members, just respond and let me know. and people: it is really important that you only respond if you are serious... they always want to know specific numbers and it will mess everything up if you post but do not go.
please respond to the poll if you are interested in some competitive Karting And if anyone has experiences at this place, let me know... I have not been there but multiple people have told me about it.

Depending on prices and dates, etc, I might go. Jersey is 2.5 hours to Englishtown but north Jersey is much closer (I can get to the Bronx in a bit over an hour). If I did go, I'd likely have at least one friend come along.

V-17 is a blast! The karts will do 35mph (they are electric so acceleration isn't the greatest), and pull 2+g's of cornering force - given the short in door track - it's a blast! It's not cheap, but not overly expensive either IMO - the first time you go they'll get you for a one year membership ($20) and it's $18.50 per race (6 laps or 6 minutes - which ever comes first)...
