How loud are your tires?
I am running 18" Nismo's wrapped in BFG G-Force KDW (TT-traditional tread). They stick to the road like glue. Ever since i got them, They have made my car sound like an airplane under 40 mph. This is NOT from tire feathering, it is just nature of the beast with these specific tires. I use 245/40/18 and 275/40/18. I want to know who else runs this size setup and has quiet tires, so i know what to go with when I buy some new ones.

I read that the Bridgestones RE-O50s were quieter. I picked up a set for my rears when they needed replacing. they were quieter and grip better, but if it drops below 50 degress they lose a lot fo traction.

Davidv, thanks but all i want to know about is the noise, performance aside. All tire size set ups will generate different results, a lot of tests don't do staggered setups. I want to know about a very specific application and real life use, information that is not available on that link.

RE050's got ridiculously loud after 10k miles for me. Most mid-price or lower performance tires will get progressively louder with age. Part of the price differential.

I have the same tires for my 19" Nismo's and I must say that they definitly roar. But I only run them in the summer months, 90% of that time I have the windows down and stereo blasting.
But at the time I ordered them I wanted to get Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3's but they weren't in stock (and I didn't feel like waiting). Sean, you had a set of these before right?
Also at the time I was shopping for tires I was offered a set of those Vredstein Sessenta tires, which were almost half the cost of the KDW's. I never heard of them so I passed and went with the KDW's.
