Hopefully i can save as well... thanks OP!
Just switched as well. Rick's a real cool guy. Saved me over $250 a year, lowered my deductible $100 ($100 more each year no accident), and did all this while putting me on the Platinum plan. Switched from Geico. Thumbs up to Rick and All-State! BTW Im a 22 year old, so he can save you money regardless of age.

To answer the question about registering in NJ with a NY license, yes, if you live in NJ. You can still insure your car in NJ with an out of state license, but you will have 6 months to change before we ask for a NJ license.
As far as requiring prior coverage, yes for the best rate. If you come to us with no prior, you will not get the best rate, but you can get coverage.
Coming to the end of the year and I could use the business! It's a win-win because you will save money with same or better coverage. Call me any time at 856-607-6755 and I will give you a quote. Ask me about ticket and accident forgiveness...........Rick
