In an effort to pinch even more out of my premiums... What changes do you recommend for a secondary vehicle which is stored over the winter? Will the insurance companies allow you to drop collision on the stored vehicle? Would it be worth dropping other than collision on it in case it gets damaged in the garage?

There are two other entities that would, however.
The first being the Div of Motor vehicle. The law says that a registered vehicle must be insured with a minimum of liability. Div of MV is not informed when coverage is removed, only when coverage lapses for non pay. so in other words, they would never know if you removed it from your policy for the winter. Its done all the time.
The second would be your finance company. They require Physical damage protection for their loan. If coverage is removed, and the lienholder is removed simultaineously, then they would not be aware of the removal.
Bottom line, if the vehicle is stored in your garage and is safe from theft or collision, then you can certainly remove over winter. As I stated before, its done all the time.

You're getting robbed!!! That's without knowing you or your driving record...
I was with LM for over ten years, all of a sudden they started raising my premiums for no reason (no tickets, no accidents, no claims, same vehicle). After I switched to GEICO, for a 40% reduction in premium, I called them to cancel my policy and they asked "why didn't you call us before accepting their offer, we would have matched their quote..."
That's not how I do business... Kick them to the curb!!!
