Default Free State Inspection - Exton Nissan

Hey all, I just got my car inspected last week, and today in the mail I got a coupon from Exton Nissan for a FREE STATE INSPECTION. wtf. It says it has to be presented at the time of inspection, and it expires december 2008 so it's useless to me. So if there is anyone out there who goes to Exton nissan and needs their car inspected, I have a coupon. I could be an *** and ask for money, or someone could be nice and offer me 20 bucks or something (since it typically costs $80 or something), or I could just send it to someone you could be forever indebted to me. Has to be a Nissan vehicle. Send me a PM if you are interested.

That's awesome. I wish I had, but I didn't, and I suspect there are some other people in my area in my same boat. I hope they read this thread too.

Word up, are you going to be at the ECZA meet in april, and do you need to have your car inspected before then?

By the way I think I met you last summer at that small meet is west chester, but can't remember your name (sorry). Silver Z right?

I would never go back to exton nissan. Almost bought an 04 DB Roadster they had on their lot about three weeks ago (maybe its still there). All but wrote the check for the thing when I decided to purchase my own vehicle history report and found what looked like a significant accident that was conveniently left out in the vehicle history report they provided me.

It's weird I've heard mostly negative reviews from there, but my experience has been mostly positive. I will say though that when I was shopping for my Z I went there first and thought they were more sleezy than normal, so I bought somewhere else. But the service department has been decent to me so far.

I too had a horrible service experience there about 2 years ago. I swore I would never go back there.

The dealership has been sold and is under completely new management. Rob Stachelek is a great service tech and has been working on my 350Z since I decided to take it back there. With the new management its a completely new dealership.

Agreed. Last week I took my Z in there for an inspection and mentioned that the clutch pedal was making a clicking / popping noise (and feeling) when I let the pedal out into 1st and 2nd gear. The older tech there (Don I think) told me it was normal, which I wasn't completely satisfied with because it's an annoyance, but then he took me into the shop and showed me a Z tranny that they had pulled and was sitting on the floor, and showed me the throw-out bearing that he says was making the noise and explained why the noise happens. It was actually pretty educational, it's not every day that I get to see a manual transmission torn apart. Anyway since he said it was 'normal' and gave me a little shop tour without me even asking I let it slide. I will bring it up next time though, since like I said it is an annoyance.

On the other hand, I asked them to do an alignment because it has been about a year since my last one. The tech took the car for a test drive and then checked the tire wear and reported that he thought the alignment was just fine and didn't recommend doing it at the time. They didn't look very busy that day, so I don't think he was trying to just get rid of my car and on to the next one. The way I interpreted it was that I asked them to do something (approx. $90), and they recommended that I hold off until I start noticing a problem. He said he would keep an eye on the tread wear as I keep bringing my car in for oil changes.

So overall, I my experiences with them have been positive.

I remember your black Z, not sure if you had the greddy sides then, but I bet it looks pretty tight, I didn't know about the meet in April. Mines up in August. I'll search for the details and probably go, I acquired some goodies and need to get my girly out of the garage.
