I'm going to replace my low mileage 350z with a 2002 low mileage M Benz CLK 55 AMG. I test drove it and it pulls so much harder than the Z. Also the interior is very nice. My coworker is going to buy the Z this weekend and I'm only paying a couple grand more for the CLK 55. Can't beat the deal and the Clk 55 should hold its value better than the Z in the long run. Now I have 2 AMGs! I'm going to miss the 350z. I bought it new back in Nov 2002.
John I remember you back at the cape may meet, when 350z were very rare. Nice upgrade. If that oppportunity presented itself to me I would take it too.
actually consumer reports show that MB held their value the worst
Back in 2002 the CLK 55 was $70k now I'm getting it for $20k. From this point on the CLK 55 will hold its value better than the 350z. Plus they only made about a 1000 for the US.
Well, I put the car thing on hold until after I get myself into a career(which should be soon), then my own place, then a nice car. By that time, the C5 Z06 should be dirt cheap
Yeah my poor Z is officially sold. But within a week my new toy 2002 CLK 55 AMG is mine! I did a complete visual check, records. Very clean and boy its a beast. I test drove it again, pulls like a ****. The surprising thing is when I floor it from 40mph it spins! I guess because it has 376trq at 3000rpm.
