I can try to find out the details. I was never an organizer so don't know. I do know that renting the track outside was about $150 per person per hour. Multiply that by about 20 people and I would estimate the track was about $3000/hr. They supply the race suits, helmets, and go karts.

I know you can do the same thing at F1 indoor in boston because my work does a trip each year and rents the track for an hour.

At either place you can run by yourself for the full time or have multiple people on a team. I tried running by myself my first time out for a 1.5hr endurance and got beat to hell and then it started to rain getting the track wet. The last half hour I was so tired and the track was wet enough that I couldn't keep the kart on the pavement...

Not at all. That is why the people I know stopped doing it. Just got too expensive. It was much worse if you pay by the lap and a lap only lasts about 1 minute. We got in about 60 laps for an hour race.

On their site, to just show up and race it is $28 for 5 practice laps and then 10 race laps. This is only on 1/2 the track compared to what I was talking about above. In an hour you would normally do about 120 laps on one of these tracks if that gives you an idea of cost/time.

 

That is a lot of cash but it sounds like a fuk1n blast

Well for those of you who are still comming, the meet will happen tonight. The location will be the same at Jordans. Time to meet will be 6:45-7pm. We will have a cruise tonight, so gas up. Hope to see a decent turn out!

Hey dude, n/p on not being able to attend, it was short notice. Omega and I are off to CA next week, so we will both be back July1-2, so plan on something going on then. We have nationals that weekend, so maybe we can all plan on rolling into worcester for one of the days. Not sure what everyones plans are for the 4th??
