Hey Guys,

I'm a member on G35driver, and I'm interested in getting together some people who live in the NY/MA/CT area who want to go to the drag strip.

Lebanon Valley is in West Lebanon, NY. For reference, I live in the Hartford area in CT, and it takes me about an hour and a half to get there with traffic by the CT/MA border.

Here's some info on the strip if you're not familiar with it:

Wednesday nights are test and tune, so no cars with slicks or open exhaust. The gates open at 5pm with racing from 6-10pm and admission is $20 for drivers. Saturday's are also test and tune, and the gates open at 8am and racing starts at 9. Saturday is a little more expensive with $30 for driver admission.


Here are the dates that I want to shoot for (Wednesday's might be better):

Wed. Aug. 6th Street Night Plus Test & Tune & The “King Of The Track” Competition
Sat. Aug. 9th Test & Tune With The DDRA Diesel Drag Racing Assoc. Northeast Points Meet Plus Super Street
Wed. Aug. 13th Street Night Plus Test & Tune

If you're interested, post in this thread, or PM me. As of now, I have a few Bimmers interested (M50 E30, E34 535, 328, 325, and some others who might join) along with a 350z, VF-39 WRX, 9-3, possibly an Evo and a TBE GTI. It would be great to get a nice group going, so let's make this happen.

Yeah, NE drags is a nice strip, but it's a 6+ round trip for people living in CT.

I would go if it was closer, but Lebanon is fine.

I'm always down to meet up. The 1/4mi strip is just an idea that might turn out to be fun, but I don't really go to many meets. I have work and that eats up time

What goes down on airport road? I'd be happy to drive over at some point.

 

airport rd is silly at best...its amazing the turn out of cars and just about anything can and will happen. lots of racing....lots of money....may not be your thing. cops come all the time and break it....then its off to the gas stations to regroup. i find it exciting.
55seconds into this video gives you an idea of how many cars and people come out...and is the only thing worth looking at. lots of slow cars but fast cars come out when other worthy cars show up.

airport road aint nothin like joblot...

any friday/saturday night im down, hit me up as soon as your gearbox is in. i'm only 1/2 hour away.

 

prolly an old thread but i am in ny and have been going to lebanon valley dragway with my z, who here is near albany at all
