This is a 350Z not a Maxima forum. Would not a Maxima forum be more suitable? And for a regional shop why not check the regional forum?

-1 I have check my Maxima forum but the closest place is Florida, Um too far. The spd tranny is the Maxima is almost the same as the 350Z auto. And since FI has been avaliable longer the the 350z crowd I thought someone could give me some insite. The FI would on the 6th Gen max is less than a year old..

The 5AT in the Maxima and Z are completely different. Go to Maxima.org.

If nobody over there has any experience with modding the maxima tranny why would anyone on a 350z site? You'll need to have your VB modded, swap the TQ possibly and upgrade the clutch packs probably depending on your power levels. No idea if anyone makes ANY of these parts for that tranny. Tranny cooler is easy as you can get a universal one that fits your needs. My advice, go buy a 6spd car to mod.

Most of the built 5AT transmissions for 350Z's are coming from 1 of 2 shops, SGP and GTM. There may be some others out there, but I don't know of anyone in MA. I would recommend that you find the best transmission builder for your goals regardless of distance and work with a good installer.
