Default My 2 day fiasco

Well it started yesterday. I got up in morning to take some movies back to Blockbuster. The car started a little sluggishly, but I just assumed that it was because of the weather was shitty. So I get to Blockbuster, leave the car running and drop the movies, then head over to get some food across the street from my apartment. By the time I get back outside, its a downpour. There's some chicks who work at the salon that are outside smoking. They comment on my car. I smile and nod trying to be cool. I get in, turn the key...

CLICK, CLICK, CLICK, CLICK, CLICK...

DEAD BATTERY!

So I get back out of my car, embarrassed, and ask for a cigarette. I call my buddy for a Jump Start. I have an 03 Z with the OEM Battery still. He comes over with some jumper cables. They are too short. So I push my car out of the parking stall into the middle of the parking lot so he can get close enough to jump it. Keep in mind its pouring rain. I get home, and back into my parking spot just so I can jump it again if needed.

This morning I get out to my car, and the battery is dead again. Guess it was time to get a new battery. So I bought one at Wal-Mart and replaced it. What a freaking weekend! But I guess I would have had to do it sooner or later.

The worst part about it, was looking like a douch bag in front of the hot chicks from the salon. They were pretty hot.

Don't worry. I'm sure they still think your car is cool!

Usually batteries don't just all of a sudden act sluggish. They usually tend to creep up slowly. Either that or your battery hates you.

Hope that it is all fixed and keep us updated. I have a battery that keeps dying and I replaced mine still working on finding my problem. Might have been a loose terminal.

Yea, I replaced the battery with a Wal-Mart Everstart Maxx. It works fine. The battery is quite a bit smaller then the OEM. But it works. So that's all I care about. Here's a question...After I replaced the batter, my car seems to run a little better. I have done a few mods, and I never bothered to reflash the ECU. But I know when you disconnect the Neg for a few minutes, it'll restart the ECU. Is it possible when it 'Re Learned' my car, it adjusted some things to incorporate my Mods and added some performance?
