are they actually teaching you how to autocross or is it just for us to run our cars?

It would be cool to get some instruction too. Are they pro drivers on a local level or are they just average Joe's?

Hello ALL!

my names Joe DaSilva, i am one of the main organizers that are working together with the local driving school 1adsi.com and Anthony ricci, with building up a hyperformance autocross here in R.I. normally its just a driving school, pay $250.00 and learn how to drive for 8hrs. its an awsome experience and you will learn alot and build your confidence level each and every run and you will get faster as you go.

what we are doing off the side of the driving school is to make it affordable and build a core group(maybe a club) of regulars who just want to run their cars for 6hrs and have fun while doing it, right now we have done this 3 times and the car count hasnt gone past 15 cars. we are not looking for 100 cars to come either every month or every bi month(2009 will be decided). but we want to stay around 40 cars an event to keep it small and easy to keep organization with. what you get for $125.00 is 6hrs of coarse time on the 1.1 mile coarse at quonset points abandoned airstrip, and get instructions "IF" needed, we have instructors on site to help with drive lines and the basics. this is not 4 runs as you would get at a typical autocross for 40$ and go home. because we want to keep the group small so that everyone gets what their moneys worth, and that the goal. you can get 30 runs if you went nonstop all day if you wanted too. but we encourage people to take a brake and talk aswell. we dont want people to feel like they have to rush around.

everything is provided by ADSI, there is no working the coarse as is the case at a typical autocross, we have volenteers that help do that. so no one will be asked to work on the hour. all we ask is if you plan on comming, and have a m rated or SA-2005 rated helmets, to pleaase bring them, if you dont have one, we will grant a pass but the next time please bring one. we want to enforce the use of helmets for 2009. its a bad habbit to get into when you neglect to not protect your brain.

event times are from 10am-4pm on sundays.

thanks for taking a minute to read this and state your opinion and concerns about what we are trying to accomplish here in Rhode Island, because we have nothing motorsports related,no tracks no nothing, so please come out and support something positive. it will help us go along way.

p.s.
we have a forum where all our info about the events are posted @ www.newenglandmotorsports.net come register and helpout.

thanks
Joe D.
