wow, this is DEAD ON. I never could think of what word to use to describe the nismo, but hollow sounding is pretty accurate. And there is drone at highways speeds

have you owned the nismo before? is this how you know? or have you just been in someones car before?

is the fuji stainless louder than the nismo? at idle, and at wot

haha ok fair enough. is the fuji stainless much louder than the nismo? Does it sound alot llike the nismo, but like you said, only deeper?

I was thinking about switching the nismo with the fuji stainless but I don't know if it's worth the trouble to do it if they both sound too similar

Only thing I suggest is fine someone with the exact same setups (same Y pipe, same cats/test pipes) and compare the sounds in person for yourself

OK I bought the HKS exhaust this past week and installed it yesterday.
LOVE IT!
I really loved the XS and thought nothing else could beat it....but sure enough the HKS did.
Amazing sound, no drone, quiet as hell, and loud when it needs to be. My ears are thanking me already
PERFECT
Now my TurboXS is sitting in the garage if anyone wants to purchase it

Just be careful mindful that the HKS has a heck of a raspy tone with test pipes, sounds great with the OEM cats in place. A lot of people like the rasp sound it produces though. The Fujitsubo is more for people who want to go all out eliminating everything restrictive but still keep a respectable tone. There's a few clips of Z's on the track with TP and the sound is pretty loud and almost F1 like. Good choice with the HKS, hope it all pans out.

I don't understand why everyone says that. I disagree. I have Legalis R with y-pipe and headers, drop-in filter & MD spacer. No TPs.

It is the deepest sounding exhaust available for the 350Z IMO. Throaty and deep. The NISMO is higher pitched and to me, rasps a little (even w/o TPs). With no load they sound similar, with load they do not.

At idle, you cannot hear the Fuji. Above 4k it gets a little louder and at WOT you certainly can hear it and people will notice, but it isn't rediculously obnoxious.
