Default Exhaust request

If anyone has the following exhausts, would you be so kind to let me hear it in person?

Tanabe medallion touring
Fujitsubo
HKS

Looking to get a new exhaust for my car, I currently have a TurboXS which I love but want to try something different and would like to hear it before I make my decision

Does it really sound better then the HKS and tanabe? I just like change....haha......worst thing to like when modding a car
I heard the fujitsubo SOUNDS AMAZING, so I wanted to give that a try.....and the HKS LOOKS amazing
The tanabe I just stuck in there because many people(somewhere in the exhaust section of the forums) have said it's the best sounding exhaust for the Z

the fujitsubo legalis r sounds just like the nismo

but if you get the fujitsubo titanium it sounds ridiculous! Just look for clips of adam z1's car his car sounds incredible

I personally have the tanabe ultra medallion. If i am not mistaken they are no longer being made and or shipped to the US. I LOVE the way this exhaust sounds and I only know of one other person that has it and that is jeremy tibbs.

I would not change this exhaust unless somebody was practically giving away the ARC single or the Amuse R1 Titan. Goes to show you how much I love it

Its really not that loud at all. It never gets on my nerves cause it just sounds so damn sweet! Sure it drones but that comes along with all exhausts. But the drone is not bad at all... you can still hold a conversation no problem, or if you dont feel like talking to the person next to you just crank up the stereo a bit and the drone isnt there anymore. And let me say this... The fitment on my exhaust is PERFECT! I have never seen something fit so nice. I also see that you are local to me. Maybe one day when there is a meet out here or when there is one over there we will run into each other and you'll get to hear it.

i too live in ma but i have the hks and i think it sounds superb! definitely very exotic with no rasp or drone at cruising speeds. oh and probably the most important thing with the sound to me is the fact that it doesen't get all loud and raspy when you downshift. good luck man.

The Fuji stainless actually sounds deeper than the NISMO does - not nearly as hollow sounding as the NISMO, and none of the 55-70 mph drone that the NISMO can produce, even with test pipes. I previously had the stainless Fuji on my car....very nice system.

No drone on my car at all (Fuji ti, Crawford headers, Fuji Y pipe, test pipes) - at 70mph, there is zero exhaust noise in fact, even with the stereo turned off. All you hear is the rear At idle my car really is not loud...its noticeable because of the cams, but it's not loud at all. When you stomp on it, it can certainly be heard, but it's not obnoxious at all. Many exhausts are way louder

The Tanabe Touring is a very nice sounding unit, similar in tone to the Fujitsubo, not quite as deep though. Very nice setup for the $ as well

HKS sounds nothing like the other 2 - way too loud for my tastes (esp. with test pipes) but it does look nice

yes - the ti system is a bit "raw-er" sounding, if that's a word lolol - has a bit of a snarl to it and is a bit more high pitched at the upper rpm range vs the stainless.

Have you heard the Tanabe Touring with headers and non res test pipes? With my current set up, DC Headers, Berk HFC'S and Tanabe Touring, it sounds pretty nice although I'm tempted to throw the TP's back in for more power but, I don't want it to sound ricey. What's your opinion?

I have the legalis R stainless with JIC y-pipe. It's one of the more subdued sounding exhaust systems available for the Z I believe. Sometimes I wish there was just a little more sound, but 95% of the time I am very satisfied. And now with the JWT popcharger and MD 5/16 spacer installed the car sounds really mean when I'm on the gas, but very quiet while cruising or idling.

Here are some videos I took that will hopefully help you. It's not the same as hearing it in person, but having heard it in person I would say these sound clips are not too far off:

Useless un-loaded engine rev (Fuji stainless, JIC ypipe, JWT popcharger not that it matters):

In-car accelerating thru 3rd gear, then gets drowned out by wind noise (Fuji stainless, JIC y-pipe, JWT popcharger)
http://media.putfile.com/Fujitsubo--Popcharger

Start from rest thru 2nd gear (Fuji stainless, JIC y-pipe, OEM intake)
