Yep I had my ranger broken into when i had it parked in a school lot in Boston. The city is bad for street parking.

Storrow drive was my little portion of race track, I had to drive that road to commute to Lexington for work. It was a fun drive unless their was traffic.

I would try and get on the good side of traffic. Needham is right on 128, and general dynamics is less then a mile from the highway. I do not know which way the traffic on that part of 128 runs, but usually in the morning one direction will be a parking lot while the other direction flows well, and it will switch for the afternoon commute.

I worked a General Dynamics for a semester while I was in school. It was a good company to work for, great pay and the work was pretty decent. Only downside is I did feel like just a number because the place is HUGE. They had their own cafe in the main building that served breakfast and lunch and usually had some pretty decent stuff.

 

ShyGuy do you know anything about the IAD division?

 

Not that I can recall. I was under the impression that the entire Needham facility was dedicated to the network systems division. That is the division I worked for as an engineering co-op.

 

Thanks for all the tips guys. It seems I won't be moving to the Boston area. They called me up and said I could take the same position at the office down here in Florida, same salary. So I don't have to move and no taxes lol easy choice. I was kinda excited though to come up there and get a change of scenery. But I will be up for a short time at the facility in Boston might need some tips later on things to do and see while i'm there. Maybe make it out to one of your meets check things out.

Well as an update I arrived in Boston today. Will be here till Sept 1st. I'll keep checking this section. Hoping to make it to one fo the meets up here. I got the Nissan Versa as a rental so i'll fit in
